After a few minutes he heard footsteps behind the door and then the lock. He took a few finger steps back and waited until the woman showed herself.

Larissa Weems to be exact.

She had survived

She had survived. She was alive and Thing found her with Fenster's help.

When Larissa looked down and saw Thing, she winced. She knew him, but how, she didn't know exactly until it dawned. Addams, it went through her head. Wednesday Addams, came the next thought and Larissa spoke, "Thing, isn't it?"

He raised his thumb in confirmation and stepped down from the pile so Larissa could see it. He pointed to the pile and Larissa picked it up, but continued to look at him.

He did his best to form the signs clearly enough for Larissa to understand him.

Wednesday wrote this. You should read through it urgently and know.

"What should I know?" she asked, confused, and Thing gestured.

Just read it, he replied. Pen and paper please, he added, and watched as Larissa went into the house for a moment and then returned with a small piece of paper and pen. She placed it on the pile for him and waited while Thing wrote.

After he gave her back the pen, she took the paper with the numbers written on it.

Wednesday number: and the numbers

Larissa swallowed hard. 8 years had passed since she had last seen her. She had wondered what had become of her. Thing gestured goodbye and disappeared while Larissa went inside with the stack.

Normally she would have had two more appointments but she had canceled them. She was too curious about what Wednesday had written. She made herself a cup of tea, sat down on the couch and began to read.
