begin.
"oh," yn breathed in utter frustration. "my fvcking god."
iida continued to blow his whistle at the rest of the class in order to assert his authority as class rep, as if he wasn't currently being the most chaotic out of everyone.
"my ears, you freak," yn complained.
"everyone, form two orderly lines according to your class number so we can board the bus efficiently," iida instructed, earning eye rolls all around.
once everyone had gotten on the bus, conversation began to start up. and naturally, since your class number also dictated where you were placed in the class seating chart, ln ended up next to the same guy from earlier, the one with the two toned hair, whose name she still had no knowledge of. she didn't mind being near him, however, since he was quiet and minded his business without trying to bother her. the two opted for silently tuning into the rest of the class's conversation and observing what was being said and how people reacted. quite entertaining, and a lot more so than you'd expect.
"the bus's open layout ruined my boarding strategy," iida complained, to which a girl who resembled a frog replied,
"since we're pointing out the obvious, there's something i want to say." she turned to make eye contact with the boy next to her, who had green hair and eyes, and little freckles that dotted his cheeks. "about you, specifically, midoriya."
"omg write that down, write that down," yn thought, pulling out her cellphone and making a new note, and typing 'green hair, freckle boy = midoriya'
"something about me?" the boy seemed shocked. and panicked, for whatever reason. "what is it, asui?"
yn made a note for the frog girl and her name as well.
"i told you to call me tsu," asui deadpanned, but proceeded with what she was saying, regardless. "isn't your quirk a lot like all might's?"
"whats? really? you think so? i never really thought about that, but i guess it's kinda similar!" midoriya replied.
"hmm," ln thought, deciding that the boy's response was odd. she stole a glance at her seatmate's facial expression, seeing that he was squinting at midoriya's words in thought. ln chuckled. she could almost see the gears working in his head.
ln looked out the glass window, still listening to the conversation.
"wait hold on, you're forgetting all might doesn't hurt himself. that makes a huge difference. still, i bet it's cool to have a simple, augmenting quirk. you can do a lot of flashy stuff with it. my hardening is super strong and can hurt bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive," said a boy with spiky read hair, and crimson eyes.
ln snorted at that. "his what is super strong? girl, bye–"
"well, if any of our classmates have pro quirks, it's todoroki and bakugou."
"sure, but bakugou is always angry, so he'll never be that popular," asui quipped without skipping a beat.
an angry looking blond boy stood up from his place. "what did you say? i'll kick your ass."
"you see?" asui pointed out, unbothered.
"hey, ln, what's your quirk?" asked the red haired boy. ln was caught off guard by the sudden question.
"i don't have one," ln shrugged in response. "don't need one. i'm good with weapons." she motioned to the battle axe she had propped up against the wall of the bus.
"i didn't know they allowed hero students to use weapons," asui commented.
"they do if you request it with a good enough reason."
the bus soon came to a stop and the class was greeted by the pro hero, thirteen. after a brief introduction, she led them inside the unforseen simulation joint, or usj. despite her low expectations, ln was actually impressed with the place. there were valleys and heights, waters and landslides—all different kinds of terrains to work and familiarise with.
"the clock is ticking; we should get started," aizawa muttered.
"right, well, before we begin, let me just say one thing, well maybe two things. possibly three, four, or five or—" thirteen rambled.
"oh my sweet baby jesus." ln rolled her eyes.
thirteen began talking at the class about being careful, not using your quirks to harm others, and whatnot. only a moment after she finished, the whole chamber darkened, which ln initially assumed to be a part of the training exercise, until she noticed the bothered and confused expression on aizawa's face.
not too far off, where a grand fountain once stood serenely and undisturbed, a dark violet portal-like figure emerged, and out of it stepped a malnourished looking man. he had pale, dry skin and unkempt sky coloured hair. dismembered hands grasped the front of his face and his appendages.
"stay together and don't move," aizawa warned. "thirteen, protect the students."
this was the first time ln had seen her school teacher express anything other than boredom, and hell, did it put her on edge. it became very apparent who was coming to pay class 1a visit.
other people, or creatures, stepped through the portal, stocking towards the group of students. from the closing distance between teens and the criminals, ln happened to make eye contact with one who had a look all to familiar to her. there was one thing these people had come for, and it was bloodshed.
end.
a/n: a bit of a crusty ending, but i hope you enjoyed, regardless ಥ‿ಥ
