the makeup look and outfit for this chapter :)

begin.

"ah, the ln family. welcome." the tall red haired man bowed, as did his children. immediately, yn's jaw dropped, seeing her beloved classmate in the same room as her.

"pepsi is the son of endeavour? holy crap."

yn and her family bowed in return. there were others in the reserved hall, but not too many. perhaps forty other people in all, either from endeavour's or nepenthe's company.

"good evening, endeavour. thank you for having us tonight," nepenthe replied. yn cringed. this whole interaction was more fake than the eyelashes she tried to put on in middle school. she glanced at her brother, who seemed to be staring into one of the todoroki sibling's soul. the white haired guy just stared back. weird.

"of course. i actually heard that shouto is in the same class as your daughter yn."

"really," nepenthe said, seeming shocked, looking at his daughter. "why didn't you tell me?"

"i didn't know who he was," yn shrugged, thinking, "and either way, i wouldn't have really cared."

"yeah, had i known i would have said something," pepsi agreed. he seemed as though he wanted to leave just as much as yn did. "by the way, you left this at school a few days ago. i forgot to give it back to you today." he handed her the lighter she'd been using to light her cigarettes.

"shit, shit, this fvcking idiot is trying to get me killed!" yn internally panicked, taking the lighter quickly. she knew her father would give her a talking to about this subject later. his face said it all.

"thank you," yn said, clearing her throat, then failing to change the subject. "so anyway, sh1tty weather am i right?"

sohjin watched the two highschool students intensely as the two families sat at the table and began making small talk with neighbouring coworkers.

"good," sohjin thought. "seems like yn doesn't like him much."

time seemed to pass obnoxiously slowly. yn kept internally complaining about how boring the conversation was, and barely picked at her food once it had been brought out.

at some point nepenthe began talking about the future and what kind of hero he saw yn being, which elicited a groan from the girl, before she excused herself to the bathroom.

instead of going to the bathroom, she decided to stand outside for some fresh air.

"could barely breathe in there," yn muttered, fishing the lighter her classmate had given her from out of her pocket, as well as the pack of cigarettes she'd stolen from out of her brother's car. she leant against the wall of the p;ace, letting most of her muscles relax. she was left to her own thoughts for just under a few minutes, before someone else unintentionally decided to join her.

"oh. what are you doing out here? it's dark."

yn glanced up and sighed, "let's be honest, none of us actually like anyone in that room. i left because that conversation was plastic as hell. no offense, pepsi, but listening to your dad speak is exhausting for my ears on a level i didn't realise was possible."

"pepsi...? and yeah, i know that about him."

"your hair," yn explained nonchalantly. "i figured you felt as much about that guy."

"how did you know?" the boy leant on the wall next to her. yn shrugged.

"could just tell. i didn't know your dad was endeavour. my brother, sohjin, hates your dad, and you were looking at him the way my brother does. i kind of put the pieces together."
