Caity thought back to Tilly's words. Her words were harsh. She doesn't know what made her sadder, the words or the fact that Tilly said them. It was an electric shock. Tilly had never raised her voice despite all the mischief she did as a child and teenager. She had never seen her get angry, there was only kindness in her. It pissed her off for Tilly. She had achieved what no one had ever been able to do. Even her English accent stood out. No sooner had she arrived in the neighborhood than she parked at Tilly's, went upstairs to get her clothes, walked around picking up what was hers, pushing on to Kate's studio. Locking the door, she slipped the keys into the mailbox, then walked across to Kara's and did the same. She was so angry with herself that she refused to back down. As a threat, she had said she would leave with her things and now that she was there, she was putting herself in her brother's shoes when he was gone overnight, disappearing from their lives. Caity guessed that they were going to send Ella and the children on a mission of peace, but she should not flinch, it was her character. Direct and sharp. Since there was a good chance that they would come to her house, she pushed the vice by leaving the key to her apartment and leaving a note for her parents to go pick up the mail from time to time. The message was clear, she was gone. No one had contact details for her new job and probably couldn't remember the name of the firm, except maybe Kara. Preferring not to take any chances, she quickly moved away, changing neighborhoods to look for temporary accommodation. She also had to avoid the gym, an all-too-obvious place.

"Hi, Kris, it's Caity. How are you? Let's say I'm ok. I have a huge favor to ask of you. Wait until I tell you what it is before accepting it like that! Living in the countryside has made you sociable! Malibu is the countryside for me," she laughs. "Ok, can I squat on your sofa for a few days? No, my apartment has nothing. I could, but we got angry. I know. And no, we got angry too. I could, but I don't want to bring her into this. I understand, Kris. But no, I assure you. I'm kissing you strongly.

— Okay, I still have the motels," she said aloud.

Kris didn't want to find herself in the middle of what was going on, her bonds with Tilly and Abigail were too strong, as were those with Bethany and Kara.

The Clara-Rose option was also not conceivable so she's looking for something practical to get to work, and clean. Reading the customer reviews, she made her choice, called to check if there was availability and hit the road again.

Caity quickly circled her temporary lodgings and headed back to the hospital, preferring to spend some time with Krista than stay in her room and find a new way to screw up her life.

"Hi, young lady," she said as she pushed open the door, "how are you feeling?

— I'M ok. A little tired, it was the parade all day to see me.

— I will let you rest then.

— No, sit down, you're the only one I wanted to see."

Caity smiled as she pulled out the chair, bringing it as close as possible.

"The guys told me how you jumped on the other one and hit him badly, the versions differ a bit.

— He had shot my friend, I was afraid that you would die, that made me angry.

"Without you, I would have died, I would have emptied myself of my blood, but you were there. I will never forget that, Caity.

— Hey! Don't cry, you'll get out of here quickly. Tell me what you want to do later, you don't plan on staying patrolling all your life, I guess?"

Caity manages to cheer up Krista and the conversation cheers her up too, distracting her.

"Good evening, ladies," a nurse interrupts them, greeting Caity with a smile to which she responds. This one checks Krista's constants before giving her medication which she swallows, leaving while wishing them good evening.
