Psalm 51:12- "Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and uphold me with Thy free spirit."
I know how it feels to have that void in your heart, I think David knew it best when he prayed this prayer. Watching as our chest aches because it feels empty, because it misses Jesus. It's so hard.
Maybe you've felt that void because of sin you committed, guilt and shame you are feeling. Or maybe you fell out of spending time with Jesus, the intimacy of being with him. Jesus wants you to know you can lean on him, Jesus wants you to know you can draw near to him and he will draw near to you. He wants you to know he loves you. "O come to the altar Son Daughter, the Father arms are open wide". Jesus loves you sweetie. You are forgiven by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. It's all by the Precious Blood Jesus shed on the Cross for you. He suffered our suffering, He took our cross and our sentence, He took our punishment and Judgement. Our Savior is wonderful, Our Christ is risen. Our Friend, Our God is wonderful and He loves you. Lay it all at his feet. Bow down before him. He knows what's in your heart but he loves you so much he wants to hear it from your lips. Cancel the lies of the enemy by the word of God, Speak his Word, believe Him and receive His word, Live his Word. You are a Child of God.
