James 1:19-20
19 "But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;
20 for the anger of a man does not achieve the righteousness of God."

Hello everyone, welcome back. Today I want to talk about anger. Firstly we all need to know that anger is dangerous, prideful, displeasing and dishonouring to God.

There are two types of anger
Sinful anger and righteous anger
Sinful anger is anger that comes with evil things, like evil thoughts about someone because you are angry with them. It could lead to destruction and it is very dishonouring to God.

Psalm 37:8 -" Don't give in to worry or anger; it only leads to trouble"

As children of God we shouldn't take part in things that are displeasing to God because we are of light and not of darkness. We should not take part in the fruit of the flesh but we should walk in the fruits of the spirit. Everything our flesh want is Sinful to God and anger is part of it (read GALATIANS 5: 16-25). So it is important for us to walk by the spirit and not gratify the desires of our flesh because we are children of God.

I use to feel this a lot and evil thoughts starts coming in about the person I am angry with and then you start saying words you will regret later. Something I have come to know is that there is spirit of anger, of everything doubt, sadness, and all. But as children of God, we have to fight it and of course we can't fight it alone, we need the help of God, this is why prayer is really important, we should talk to God and tell him how we are feeling, tell him about the person you are angry with, let him know everything. And he will help you.

Remember: the anger of a man does not achieve the righteousness of God. It is important to be a listener, that is be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. Control your self. Even our father in heaven is slow to anger, he is loving and forgiving and faithful, he is merciful and gracious. So let us forgive those who make us angry because God forgives us too. When you feel angry, just call upon the name of the Lord and talk to him. Do not give place for the devil, the bible says in Ephesians 4: 26-27 " be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil" when we are angry for a long time, we give room for evil so we should " get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort."- EPHESIANS 4:31.

PRAYER: Dear father, we thank you for your word, we pray that you help us to walk by the fruit of the spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithful, goodness, gentleness and self control in jesus name. AMEN.

Thank you JESUS

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
