Hi everyone, how are you all Doing? I hope you are well. Today I want to talk about those of us feeling lonely in our faith and our beliefs. To be honest I am one of them who feel lonely in my faith and beliefs. I want a friend I can call or talk to God about, where we do bible studies together and just talk about Jesus but this is not completely my case. But what I have come to know is that I'm going through this season for a reason, We all are and God's plan for us is not to harm us but his plans for us are to prosper us and are good (Jeremiah 29:11) But mostly, I have a friend in Jesus, he is my best friend and that is really what keeps me going, God, Jesus, Holy spirit, my faith, my family and this wonderful community wattpad keeps me going . That's really just me right now.
To those of you feeling lonely in your faith, beliefs, without friends, I would love to share this bible verses with you, I came across it in article.
Hebrews 12:1-3
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary of fainthearted"
Hebrews 12:12-14
"Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one sees the Lord".
Love, what does this verses have to do with me feeling lonely in my faith? Well lovelies, I want you to know that even Jesus went through this, you are not alone. Feeling alone in our faith is hard, very hard especially when you are not around anyone that shares your Christian faith and beliefs. The point I want you to take from this bible verses are:
1. Lay aside every weight and sin that clings so tightly to you. Let it go
2. Look to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, focus on him.
3. This is a race for us and let us run this race with endurance, you are in this season for a reason, endure it with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ.
4. Jesus understands, he has gone through this and worse when he came to earth for us. He understands your situation. Keep talking to him.
5.Make straight paths for your feet
6. Strive for and work at living in peace with everyone even those who don't share your Christian faith.
7 Work at living a holy life and "For God has not called us for impurity but in holiness" -1 Thessalonians 4:7
Remember to "Rejoice always, pray with ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you"- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Remember to ".........be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you"-Hebrews 13:5b
Our Heavenly Father plans for us are good, his plan for us are not of evil, he will never leave you nor forsake, he is with you and even if feeling alone in our faith, let us look to Jesus, God has it all under control so cheer up, Our God is with us and know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
PRAYER:
THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR YOUR WORD, THANK YOU LORD JESUS, THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT. I NEED YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU FOR NEVER LEAVING ME AND NEVER FORSAKING ME, THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING HERE WITH ME AND FOR ME, THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME. I LOVE YOU AND I WANT TO KNOW YOU MORE AND BECOME MORE LIKE YOU. I WANT TO LOVE LIKE YOU, I WANT MY LIFE TO REFLECT YOU, I WANT TO REPRESENT YOU ON EARTH, I WANT TO SHARE YOUR LOVE TO OTHERS, I WANT TO LEAD PEOPLE TO YOU, LORD PLEASE TOUCH THE HEART OF THE UNBELIEVERS AROUND ME AND THE WORLD BECAUSE I KNOW YOU ARE THE WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE AND YOU ARE THE ONLY WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE LORD JESUS. PLEASE HELP ME TO WITNESS TO THEM IN JESUS NAME I PRAY, AMEN. THANK YOU FATHER.
Keep going, remember you have a best friend in Jesus. Feeling lonely in your faith is hard but keep looking to Jesus.
