Lilith's POV:

*YAWNNNN*

I stretch up, reaching up towards the top bunk and grabbing onto it. I sit up and slip out of bed, putting on my glasses and pulling my uniform out of my closet. I pull my bag out of the closet as well, Reaching my arm in, Digging around for my schedule. Ah right I thought, I had left it on my desk. I wandered over to the old wooden desk that sat in the corner of our room and found it, Glancing at my schedule that laid slightly creased there on my desk.

Potions. Ah. I thought to myself. "A student may choose only One track for their future". The potions track wasn't as bad as many thought it was, Many people thought that potions were easy and boring. Pour one liquid into another, But it was so much more than that! Measuring the right length of hippogriff feather for a Boils cure potion! Estimating how much fairy toe nails you would need to balance out the elixir! But every once in a while, I would wonder whether I would've been better off in illusions or oracle because no matter how hard I've tried I could never beat Edalyn. She was constantly exceeding higher than me in Potions track even though I would study day in and day out when she would be mucking about, Pranking our next door neighbour or robbing people in the markets. I have to prove to my mother I am better. I'm the better sister.

*THUMP*

"Mornin Lils!" Eda greets me after jumping down from the top bunk pulling me back to reality. "Ready for school already??" She asks, Turning around to grab her uniform that had been lazily thrown into the corner of the room. "Yes Edalyn I am and you should be too. We have a test today!" I say excitedly, I always love tests because it's my chance to surpass Eda. It sounds very narcissistic but it's the way I work. Be on top, Get to the emperor's coven. Eda Sighs heavily and packs her bag, "You sound like mom, Lilly. The test is not a big deal anyways, It's just another emperor's coven quiz. Bet chya 2 whole snails." She states. I shrug and wander out into the hallway to be greeted by the smell of fresh bacon and griffon eggs. Mhm Yum. I hadn't even taken two steps before... Whoosh- Eda bolted past me at the speed of light, Pieces of paper falling out of her unzipped bag. Clearly she had smelt breakfast too. I lean down and pick up the papers that had fallen out and take a look at them. "Notes, Notes, Unfinished homework..." I mutter as I flip through the sheets of paper. "Hmm, What's this?" My eyes fell onto a small sheet of paper that had been ripped out of a notebook of some sort. There were drawings all over it, Draws of people, Two people. Me and some boy that Eda has been hanging out with a lot recently. Raine Whispers.

Eda's Pov:

I throw my bag at the ground and violently pull out a chair, Throw myself on the chair and stare up at my concerned mother. "U-uh right, Hello Edalyn Dear, You in a hurry aren't you-" I interrupted her "Yes hi now what's for breakfast??" She looks down and sighs "Your manners Hun.". I turn to see Lilly hopping down the stairs with my study notes in hand, Staring very intensely at them. She politely greets mother and sits in the chair opposite me "So Lils... You uhm, Are you copying my notes for the test I forgot about?". She shoots a glare at me and aggressively shoves the notes into my hands, Keeping one and stuffing it in her pocket. "Just so you know, Edalyn, I am in fact NOT copying you notes, I just happened to pick them up for you." She spat, Wow did someone get up on the wrong side of bed or what. Mother comes round from the kitchen with two plates in hand, handing one to me and the other to Lilith. She grabs her satchel and turns towards the door "Goodbye girls, See you after school... Oh and Edalyn, try to stay out of trouble please." With that she was out the door and on her palismen. I shift myself to Lily "Have you seen dad today?" I ask. She looks up from her plate to look me in the eyes, She looks back down at her plate frowning a bit. "No, I uh haven't"
