{~Chapter sixteen~}

GEORGE POV:

I wake up to someone knocking on my door. Slowly I open my eyes and look around. I am in my own room.
“Come in.” I say with a yawn, while I sit up and stretch.
The door of my room opened and Dream walked in with a tray of food.
“Good Morning, love. Did you sleep well?” He said as he placed the tray on my bedside table.
“I think so.” I look at the food. “What did I earn this for? Why breakfast in bed?”
Dream sat down on my bed and gave me a quick kiss. “It's been a month since you got out of the hospital. So, I thought we would celebrate a bit today.” He said.
I grab my phone and look at the date of today… It had been a month.
“It’s really already been a month?” I whisper.
“Yeah, it went by fast. But I am glad, because you are still here and that is all that matters. Here, eat the food before it gets cold. I made you a full English Breakfast. Thought you would like it.” Dream said as he put the tray with food on my lap.
I slowly started to eat.
“Don’t you need to eat?” I asked.
“I already ate.” Dream said with a smile.
After I finished my breakfast, Dream put the tray on my desk and walked to the door of my room. “Wait there, my love. I have another surprise for you.”
So, patiently I waited for Dream to come back. And when he did he held a box with a few big holes.
Was there an animal in it?
Carefully he put the box on my lap and it felt quite heavy.
Dream looked at me. “Quick, open it.”
So, I took off the lid. And there in the box was the gray striped cat from the cat cafe. They looked at me and meowed.
I look at the cat, to Dream and back to the cat.
“She is yours. I told you the cafe had cats to be adopted, right? After you woke up in the hospital, I went back to the cafe to find out if the cat was still available. And she was, so I adopted her and now she is yours. Because I remembered you talking about your pets that you missed.” Dream explained with a smile.
I look at the cat and I feel tears come into my eyes. The cat looks exactly like my little Luca, who I lost just before coming to America.
Dream looks at me with concern. “Why are you crying? Is everything okay?”
“I-I am okay. He just looks so much like my little Luca. He died just before I went to America.” I explain as I wipe the tears from my eyes and slowly pet the cat.
I look at the cat and smile. “I am going to call you Lucy.”
Slowly I look at Dream. “Will Patches be okay with her? Considering you live here now, Patches does as well. And I just do-”
“George, Patches loves Lucy.” Dream says with a smile.
“How do you know?”
“Because I kept Lucy hidden in this house for over a month.” Dream explained while he laughed. “You never questioned why you were not allowed in the cat room? That’s where I kept Lucy. And I would let Patches out sometimes so you wouldn’t get suspicious.”
“You sneaky bastard.” I say, while laughing.
“I will take Lucy back to the cat room, you get dressed and go downstairs.” Dream said. “Are you okay if I invited the others? You okay with Sapnap and Punz coming over?” He added.
“That’s okay.” I say with a smile.
“Alright. I’ll be downstairs.”

I quickly got dressed and made sure that I looked more presentable. Slowly I walk downstairs. Dream is waiting in the living room. He sat on the couch talking on the phone with presumably Punz. I sit down on the couch and cuddle up against his chest.
“Hold on, Punz. George just cuddled up to me.” Dream says with a smile and quickly puts an arm around me. “Yeah, you guys are coming over here, right? And are we still going to Disney tomorrow with the crew?”
I looked up at Dream. “Disney?”
Dream smiled at me. “Surprise, sweetheart.”
“I will see you guys in 10 minutes.” Dream said to Punz on the phone and then hung up.
After he put his phone away, he pressed kisses to my forehead and nuzzled his nose against mine.
“I am so glad you are still here, my love.” He whispered.
“I am glad to have you here. You showed me that I am worth it.” I said.
A little later the doorbell rang. Dream tried to stand up to get it, but I snuggled up to him more.
“George, I have to let them in. I am back in a second.”
I whined and huffed, but eventually I let him get up.
Dream walked to the front door. I could hear him talk to the others and soon they walked into the living room. Dream immediately sat down next to me and I cuddled up to him again.
Karl had a present for me and handed it to me. “Because we are so happy that you are still with us.” He said with a smile.
Slowly I opened the present. They were new roller skates. I stared at Karl.
“How?! You didn’t need to buy this for me! How did you even pay for this? They seem so expensive.”
Karl smiles. “Oh, I only paid part of it. Sapnap paid most of it. He has a really good job.”
Slowly I looked at Sapnap. “Surprise.” He said sheepishly.
I jumped up from the couch to hug Sapnap. “Sap! Thank you so much.”
“No problem, George. Now you can go to the skatepark in a new fashion.”
Punz had gone into the kitchen to get us all something to drink. He put all the drinks on the coffee table.
While we were talking, I noticed that Karl looked a bit uncomfortable. I grabbed my phone and sent him a message. ‘Are you okay?’
Soon, I got a message back. ‘There is something I want to talk about to you. But I don’t want to do it in front of the others.’
“Come on, Karl. I am gonna show you Lucy. But she is very shy, so I can only take one person” I say as I jump off the couch and grab Karl’s hand. I drag him up the stairs to the cat room. Lucy and Patches immediately trot up to us.
“What’s up, Karl?” I ask while I sit down to pet the cats. Karl sits down opposite of me.
“I- I wanted to ask if I could tell the others something. But I don’t want to take the spotlight from you, because you are the one that has been a month out of the hospital.” Karl said.
“It’s fine. What is it that you want to say?” I ask.
Karl fiddles with the end of his sleeves. “S-Sap and I have been dating for a few weeks now. Officially dating, I mean.”
“That’s amazing! Congratulations! I mean, I should have seen it coming. But I am glad that you two finally found each other officially.” I say and Karl smiles.
“Thanks. I really want to tell Dream and Punz as well, but again, I don’t want to take away from your day.” He said softly.
“It’s okay, I don’t mind if the spotlight is on me or someone else. As long as I can be with all of you today. So, go for it. Let’s tell the others.” I say and the two of us walk downstairs again.
Sapnap immediately asked Karl about the cat, while I walked back to Dream and cuddled up to him on the couch again.
“Dream, Punz.. I want to say something.” Karl said softly.
“What’s up?” Dream asked.
Carefully, Karl took Sapnap’s hand in his own and smiled. “Sapnap and I have been dating for a few weeks now. Officially dating. We didn’t know when to announce it, but well… Now you know.”
“Really? That is great to hear. You two are made for each other!” Dream said and Punz nodded in agreement.
Sapnap smiled. “I don’t know why we waited this long to start dating.” He said.
“Because you are an oblivious idiot.” Punz answered and Dream laughed. Karl also tried to hide his laughter.
“I am not an idiot.” Sapnap said in mock-offense.
“With the amount of times you missed how in love Karl was when he looked at you, you totally are an idiot.” Dream said while laughing.
Geeeooorge! Your boyfriend is bullying me. Tell him to stop.” Sapnap whined.
I grin and look up at Dream. “Dream, stop bullying Sap. That’s not very nice, even though it’s really fun.”
“Fine.” Dream said.
“So, I heard that tomorrow we are going to Disney.” I say.
“Yep. We are all going to Disney world. We will stay here tonight and then tomorrow morning we will travel to Disney for the day.” Sapnap explained.
“Again, way too early in the morning?” I ask.
“Yup. Because if we don’t go that early, Dream will have our head. He always wants to be that early.”
“You just get more out of your day if you are there at rope drop.” Dream argued.
“Sure, sure. I believe you.” Sapnap said.

So, the next day we traveled to the amusement park and as soon as we got into the park we mostly split up. Dream and I went to fantasyland again, to first do the quiet rides. Punz just went off to do as many roller coasters in one day and Karl and Sapnap went off to haunted Mansion first.
Dream pulled me along to Peter Pan’s flight first, because that was the first attraction we did when we came here the first time.
After that we went to a few other attractions.
But at the end of the day the best thing from that day was the firework show at the end again.
Even though I had seen it before, I still got tears in my eyes. It was beautiful. And this time the monologue of the narrator hit me even more. Because I did find out who I was meant to be, and I did find my happily ever after. I found it with Dream.
During the finale of the firework show, Dream turned me so I was facing him and kissed me on the lips.
And in that moment the world felt like it stopped again. We were where we were meant to be. Together, happy and in love. And nobody would be able to take this away from us.
“I love you, George.” Dream whispered to me after the kiss.
“I love you so much more, Dream.” I whispered back.
“I love you the most.” He whispered back with a smile, while he pressed our foreheads together softly.
