"Em you coming?" I said looking back at my friend

"Yeah, my brother is going to be there. I can't wait" She smiled

"Oh my god. I haven't seen your brother since we moved in" I said

"I know, you never come out when we go to dinner" She pouted

"That's because Micah was just another Leo. Good lord i'm glad I cut that off when I did" I sighed

Emily nodded and sat back on the couch. We are both 24 and we live together in a small house of our own. Our jobs pay well and we stayed close as time went by. Finishing high school we both went our separate ways for college and kept in contact. She went a couple states over while I went to the other side of the country. Her brother went to a trade school and became a diesel mechanic. Which came in handy because I bought a diesel truck to haul the cars to shows. This show is local, so we're driving my Charger. We have a garage so the charger lives in there, while my truck lives outside and is my daily driver. All the other project cars are at my parents house. One day i'll get a shop to put them all and admire them. I have a problem but it's fine.

"Gray said he's bringing his Coronet" Emily said getting off the couch

"Oh, that car is so pretty. Are you ready to head out?" I asked

"Yup. The cars packed right?" Emily replied

"Yup. Got the cooler and the chairs. Let's go" I said

"You're still coming on the beach trip tomorrow right?" Emily asked as we started down the road

"Yeah, why?" I replied

"Asher's coming" She said

"Is he bringing his fiance" I asked

"I don't know. Grayson wouldn't say, and avoided the subject when I asked. Though when I was on the phone with him, it sounded like there was someone else in the background" She replied

"Think it was Asher? Maybe he visited for a few days" I replied

"No idea. Anyway, we'll find out when we get to the show" She shrugged

Nodding, we drove a bit longer and I pulled into the parking lot. Rolling down my window Fred came up and smiled at me.

"Well if it isn't Erin and Emily. I have the perfect spot for you" He smiled

"Thank you Fred" I smiled

Fred runs a lot of the local car shows around here, he's also the sweetest old man and his wife makes the best baked goods. Getting directed to the huge grass field, I parked between some other chargers and got out our lawn chairs. Putting the cooler behind the car, we sat down and Emily answered her phone.

"Hello, yeah we're here. Uhm with a bunch of other chargers. Of course. Oh you do? Yeah she's coming, what about his-. Okay okay jeez. See you soon" Emily said

"Was that your brother?" I asked

"Yeah, Asher's with him. But apparently his fiance is a touchy subject" She said rolling her eyes

"Maybe they broke up" I shrugged

"Hmm, that would make it a touchy subject. Oh are you still wearing the ring?" She asked

"Yeah. I always do...Should I take it off?" I asked

"Well are you going to need it when they show up" She chuckled

"Probably" I laughed

"Maybe just hide it behind your back. If he even remembers" She replied

Nodding, we stood up and walked to the front of the car. I leaned against the front, while Emily went in front of me and started taking pictures as I laughed at her. She became a journalist and made a really successful blog. She also has a YouTube channel and makes money from that too. I work as an assistant to the CEO of a suspension company. Which means, free parts for me and I get to attend so many shows. This is just one I wanted to go do so I don't get paid, it's fine though.
