"Are you sure you're okay with me leaving" Emily said
"Yes. Asher is dropping Grayson off here and i'm going with him to their apartment" I said
"Okay. You're still sending the feed to them right?" She asked
"Yup. They have the login for our cameras and will get all the notifications we do" I replied
There was a knock at the door then we heard it open. Looking over, the two boys walked in and stopped in the kitchen.
"You guys ready?" Asher asked
Emily and I both nodded before picking up our bags. I'm going with Asher back to their apartment for the weekend. Which is good for two reasons. Micah is pissed and doesn't know where the boys live, and there's a car show I want to go to by him. I don't have a car in the show, but i'm just going to walk around. Cory and Dalton, who i'm going to Florida with, are going to be at the show in their cars. Dalton has an older mustang that's a pretty red. While Cory has an older jeep. Pretty sure it is a CJ-7. He also has a newer jeep as well but for shows he normally brings out the CJ.
"Have a good weekend" I said to the siblings
"You too" Emily said back
Hugging my friend, I got in Asher's car and looked at him.
"You ready?" He asked
"Yup. Tired, but ready" I laughed
"It's only 6" He replied
"I had a long day okay. You ready to join me at a car show tomorrow?" I smiled
"Are we going to be there all day?" Asher asked
"Maybe" I shrugged "But I don't have a car in the show so we don't have to"
Asher just nodded and we pulled out of the driveway. Looking around, I didn't see Micah's car, or any weird cars around. Phew, he hopefully won't know. Emily pulled out after us, and went the opposite way we did. Going to the highway, Asher got on and gunned it.
"Jeez" I chuckled
"What?" He asked
"Speed demon" I replied
He just smiled at me before looking back at the road.
"Guess what" Asher chuckled
"What?" I asked
"We're getting another storm tomorrow night. After your car show" He laughed
"No" I groaned "Why does mother nature hate me"
"No idea. This one is going to be bad though, it's got tornadoes where it already hit" Asher said
"No no. Don't tell me that" I said and gripped the seat
"Do you n-"
"No. I don't. We had one touch down where I went to college and it destroyed everything. My school was safe from being destroyed but a block or two away houses were flattened" I said quickly "Also there was debris everywhere and i'm glad I didn't bring my truck at the time"
"Really?" Asher said
"Yes. It was loud as fuck and I was on the third floor of the dorms. Some dorms got broken windows. My roommate hid under her bed while I sat in the fucking tub with my pillow" I said shaking my head as my heart raced, was not a good day
"Guess that didn't help with the ringing" Asher said
"No, it made it worse. After that is when I went to the doctor. Ear buds are- Fuck" I replied
