Sliding on my shoes I look at Jeff waking up on the couch.

"I won't be home until late! Do you want me to bring food home?"

"I probably won't be here when you get back."

"What..? Why?"

"I gotta do some stuff."

I knew what he meant, I knew exactly what he meant.

"Be careful? I'll tell you good night through the necklace ok?"

I point to my chest showing him the necklace we both share. He nodded as a response and with that, I left the house. I wasn't any less nervous about what was going to happen. Please don't let him get caught, please let him be safe.

Bouncing my leg through all my classes I repeatedly sent him notifications through the necklace.
I didn't care if I was annoying him, he was worrying me. Did he really have to kill people? Is it really a need? He's already allowed to slice me up. Why am I jealous?

I groan feeling an arm hit my back.

"What's your deal?"

I turn quickly but my tone changes as soon as I see Zander.

"Oh sorry-"

He slides next to me crossing his legs on the chair.

"What's wrong?"

I bit my lip thinking of a way to explain the situation.

"I'm just worried about someone, they've been doing some pretty bad stuff lately...I don't want them to get hurt-"

He nodded agreeing with me.

"We could skip and go to my house straight away! I doubt anyone will notice."

I smile as he held onto my hand, and we both stood up going outside the school.
It was a little cold even though it wasn't winter. I rub my hands together and stand following him on the sidewalk.
