“Eraserhead, Yin! Glad you could make it.” Mr. Gou beamed brightly at the two adults. Yin stares at Aizawa as he blankly stares at Gou. Mr. Gou, dressed in a black suit, sits at the far end of the table. Yin and Aizawa stand at the opposite end.
Yin speaks up, directing her eyes to her cup of tea. “This better have been worth it. I was about to solve an important case.” Yin takes a sip and peers at Gou. “I know Aizawa doesn’t want to be here either. What villain case did you stop him from catching?”
Gou rolls his eyes with a scowl. He quickly hides it and clears his throat. “Anyways…” Gou picks up a folder and slides it down the table. “This is everything you will need to know about the case.” Aizawa picks the folder up, his eyes never leaving Mr. Gou. “No one, and I mean no one, is to know about this case. Solve it and move on, understood?”
“Yeah, yeah. We understand.” Yin sets her cup down and stares at Mr. Gou. “One thing though-” Yin places her hand on Aizawa’s shoulder and glares at Mr. Gou. “If this case goes public, I’m not following your rules. You are already pushing it with a last-minute case.”
“Understood, detective.” Mr. Gou bows as Yin and Aizawa leave the room. “The three of us will be the only people to know.”
Before Aizawa leaves, he glances back with a smirk. “I told you not to. Now you have lost control of this investigation. Not like you had any to start with.” Mr. Gou glares at the door as Aizawa closes it. Not another word came out of his mouth, only a sigh.
“Lynn, you have grown into a strong person. I remember your first year at U.A. .” Aizawa elbows Yin lightly.
“Ugh, please don’t remind me of that embarrassing year,” Yin whines before chuckling and checking her watch. “Wanna get some coffee or tea? I haven’t slept in a while and could use more caffeine.”
Aizawa chuckles as he opens the door to exit the building. “Let’s grab some to go. I would rather this investigation be done sooner rather than later. As you said, I was a few days away from stopping a villain.”
Yin smiles to herself. “I told him. He should stop going after busy people and find others who aren’t.” *Bring, bring* *Bring, brin-* “Detective Yin speaking.” Yin answers her phone while following Aizawa.
“Everyone but Ochaco has responded. After some research, she may have also gone on the mission. According to her interns, she hasn’t been seen since before the mission.” Yua’s voice was quiet as she spoke, almost faint.
Yin hums as she continues to follow Aizawa. “Alright. Forward the other responses to my personal account. You may stop with research for now but do not discard it. I may have you continue at a later time.” Yua hung up the phone with an acknowledgeable hum. “They could have found a different hero to go and investigate, but no- they had to bother me.”
Aizawa chuckles. “You know you want to save your friends. It’s in your blood. Especially Ground Zero.”
Yin rolls her eyes and lightly elbows Aizawa. “Let’s just go get our tea and coffee.” A knowing smirk appears on Aizawa’s face.
