Terrifying screams had echoed through the dark, desolate bathroom, but they couldn't be heard no matter what. It has been over a day since the jigsaw killer left Adam to rot in undeserved hell.

Adam has succumbed to the numbness. Not a bone in his body could move, every inch of his skin pierced with pain and he had lost his voice. The agony is so unbearable that he'd rather die than hold on any longer. Nobody was coming to save him.

He tried to get rid of that mindset at first, but he then accepted that his fate was inevitable. Lawrence promised that he'd come back, but for all Adam knew he could've died from the blood loss before he could. He had a couple of friends, well more acquaintances. They don't care about him enough to notice that he is missing. His parents are also non-existent in his life, as he hasn't spoken to them in three years. His mother tries to call, but he ignores her, due to his resentment that she married his step-dad when she knew that he hated Adam more than anything.

Adam's thoughts of dying alone spiral into uncontrollable dismay. He begins to sob as loud as his hoarse voice would allow him to. Not that it would do anything.

He weeps to himself until he begins to feel faint. He lets himself drowse off, not caring if he never wakes up again. That's better than waking up in the bathroom.

Adam jolts awake as he feels someone touch his shoulder. The door is open. Someone could be here to rescue him.

"Adam," the voice whispers beside him. He faintly looks at her, not recognising that they interacted only days before.

Amanda.

The woman's breaths become distressed. "Let me help you," she says, welling up with emotion. Adam has no energy to react. Suddenly, a plastic bag is over his head.

Adam grabs the bag and tries to rip it off with what little strength he has. Amanda pulls the bag tighter, obviously trying to smother him to death. Adam continues to fight her, regardless of what he thought earlier. Now that there is a possible way out, he needs to take that chance.

"I'm sorry," Amanda sobs, although she is satisfied with Adam's shortness of breath. Adam's eyes begin to flutter closed from the suffocation, but to his luck, he is able to hold on a little longer.

He grabs Amanda by the neck with his free hand and slams her to the floor with all the strength he has.

Amanda is passed out, blood flowing from her head. Adam coughs and splutters in anguish after he is free from the suffocation. He then looks at Amanda. She's not dead but certainly passed out. "Now you're fucking sorry," he tries to say, but it only comes out as a raspy whisper.

He immediately starts to pat Amanda down, checking every single one of her pockets for an escape route. He panics when he doesn't feel any keys. He then feels a large object in her back pocket. He slides it out in disbelief. A cell phone.

He begins to sob in euphoria, having a feeling that this might be his way out. If it's her own phone, it can't be a return only like the phone he and Lawrence had to use.

His hands tremble as he powers it on and dials 911. He desperately holds the phone to his ear. "Please pick up," he whispers repeatedly as it hangs on the line. He begins to panic suddenly, worried that there may be no signal. He then hears a middle-aged female voice in his ear.

"Hello 911, what is your emergency?"

Adam leaps up frantically, in disbelief that he's about to break free. He tries desperately to let out every detail of where he is, but he can't get the words out.

"I need you to slow down and take a breath," the operator says calmly. "Can you tell me your name?"

"Adam Stanheight," he barely whispers.

"Okay Adam, I need you to tell me what happened as slowly as you can," the woman responds, luckily picking up his name.

Adam clears his throat, causing more tears to fall. "I...I've been kidnapped."

"All right," the operator responds, almost a little too casually. "Do you have any idea where you are, Adam?"

"No...I'm in an abandoned bathroom...I don't know where?" Adam responds through his tears.

The woman hums a response. She doesn't reply for a few seconds, causing Adam to desperately ask; "do you know where I am?"

"I'm working on it, Adam. Don't worry," the woman responds in a consoling voice. "Is there anything else you know about where you are that you can tell me?" she then requests.

Adam stares at the pool of fake blood where John Kramer's corpse was, Zepp's dead body and Amanda passed out on the floor next to him. "The Jigsaw Killer...."

The woman lets out a gasp she didn't intend for Adam to hear. "Okay Adam, we're coming to get you," she says, her voice evidently uneasy. "Keep me on the line in case anything else happens."

Adam genuinely cannot believe that he is going to be rescued after everything. "Thank you...thank you!" he sobs in utter relief.

Less than five minutes later, Adam hears the loud wailing of sirens approaching the building. That's when he senses movement from beneath him. He looks down to see Amanda waking up. Without hesitation, he grabs a piece of debris from the floor and prepares to throw it. Amanda sits up in anger, clearly looking for the plastic bag. She then sees Adam with a rock in his hand aimed in her direction.

"If you try to kill me again...I will fuck you up," Adam says in a terrifying tone, that he's never used before.

Amanda scoffs in his face. "Fine, fuck me up." Adam swallows hard, contemplating whether to carry out her request. He then decides not to as he's not as stupid as Amanda thinks. She is trying to provoke him, just as John did. He won't make that mistake again.

To Amanda's surprise, he drops the debris to the floor and chucks it across the room so it hits the door. It makes a noise loud enough for the emergency services to locate him. They instantly burst through the door, their lights disorientating them both.

Adam sighs in relief as he lies back, not needing to use up the little strength he has left. He is even too tired to respond when one of the operators waves his hands above his face.

"Adam Stanheight? You're safe, okay? We're gonna get you out of here."

Adam's eyes shut closed, without the fear that he'll wake up in the bathroom again, or dead.....
