Kara landed outside of her home, going up the steps as fast as she normally can. She got to Johnathan's bedroom and saw her adopted father, looking like he can go at any moment. She looked at Martha before she went over to his bed and gently grabbed ahold of his hand. "Pa," she said softly.
Johnathan opened his eyes and looked at Kara, barely any light or life left inside them. He coughed harshly before he just gave his daughter a small smile. "Did you save the world kiddo?" he asked in a breathy voice.
Kara just forced a smile and slowly nodded. "I did Pa, Earth is not in danger anymore."
Johnathan smiled bigger before he gently squeezed her hand. "You did good the last few adventures you had," he coughed again before he laid his head back down. "Martha has told me of the people you saved and..." he coughed harsher again.
"Johnathan, don't try to talk, ok? You might overwork yourself," Martha stated as a tear slowly rolled down her right cheek. "The Doctor...said he might go any moment," she informed Kara.
"I still have one thing to say before I go," Johnathan started until Kara interrupted him.
Kara put both hands on his as she was starting to get tears in her eyes as well. "Pa don't. I can find a way to heal you, I... I can't lose you," she whispered in a broken voice.
"Kara..." Johnathan started again. "Know that I'm always with you, even when I'm gone...and that I'm very pro-" he stopped as he was having problems breathing. His heart started to slow to a stop as he looked at Kara, "I'm proud of you," he said with one last breath then, he went limp. The light of life went from his eyes and his heart gave out.
Kara looked at the lifeless body of Johnathan before looking at Martha. "I... I don't hear...his heart," she breathed fast before setting his hand on his chest. She then slowly stood up as Martha went over to her. The two hugging each other as tears fell out as they have lost a father and a husband.

Jor-El looked at Kara with a worried expression, it has been a week since Johnathan Kent died and she hasn't said a word yet. "Kara," he spoke, cutting the silence, "I'm sorry about your loss. Your human father...I would have loved to meet him."
Kara nodded before she looked at him, "He always put others in front of himself. Try to help everyone even though he didn't have powers," she informed before she wiped her eyes against her sleeve. "What do we got on Brainiac's remains?" she asked trying to change the topic.
Jor-El sighed before the two of them walked to a chamber that held a dismantled Brainiac. "So far, more questions than answers," he stated. "The alloy that makes up most of his body, I cannot even identify. Now the most interesting part is his complexity along with how hold this robotic Brainiac is."
"Is it as old as the universe itself?" Kara asked as she raised an eyebrow at the hologram.
Jor-El just chuckled before shaking his head. "No, thankfully but this Brainiac is 13,000 years old. The Brainiac on Krypton was at least a thousand years old," he informed. "I didn't get to study the artificial intelligence much, but I was able to get a scan of his neural net and after examining the head of this one. They are identical."
"Wait, wait," Kara shook her head and put her hands together. "Time out. You are saying that this is the same Brainiac?"
Jor-El shook his head, "Impossible. Brainiac was also on Krypton when it was destroyed, therefore he was destroyed. The only thing I can think of to logically explain this is if the Brainiac on Krypton and this one was a part of a larger hive mind or different models of a similar unit."
