lilith practically ran down the stairs to try and hurry so matt wouldn't have to wait long but she was stopped when she saw levi sitting on the couch.

"i thought you left?" lilith replied making him look up and smile.

"no not yet halley wants to go shopping before i leave so i'm waiting until she's ready." he replied.

"shit i thought she left too." lilith said groaning while attempting to tie her shoes.

"are you good?" he questioned eyeing her suspiciously to which she nodded. "yeah i'm just going out with matt and i don't want them to know yet so please don't say anything."

she only decided to tell him since he was the one who convinced her to tell matt. she was also still upset about what had happened between them, but it seemed like they were good and that's all that mattered to her.

"your secrets safe with me." he replied making her smile and hug him bye.

she finally walked out the door to see matt parked in the driveway on his phone until he saw her in which he got out and ran to open the passenger door for her.

"thank you kind sir." lilith said jokingly making him chuckle lightly as he got back in the drivers seat.

"these are for you m'lady." he said jokingly back as he handed her a bouquet of assorted flowers that made lilith smile and blush.

"thank you matt but you didn't have to get me flowers." she said making him smile and look at her. "oh but i did you deserve them." he said as he pulled out of her driveway.

the car ride consisted of them talking and listening to an assortment of music until they got to their destination. lilith honestly had no idea what or where they were going until matt pulled a picnic basket from the back.

"a picnic?!?" lilith asked excitedly as matt nodded making her grin hugely. ever since she was a little kid she had always wanted to go on a picnic. she had even asked her ex boyfriend before they broke up but he always said no and went out of his way to make fun of her for liking such a childish thing. now she was happier then ever that matt had planned this.

the walk to the beach was short but consisted of them talking about everything that led to them going on a date.

"i still can't believe athena gave you my number for a prank." he said laughing setting down the basket. "me either but everyday she says she's glad she did because she met chris."

matt laughed as they both sat down and he pulled different kinds of food out. "chris is crazy about her im not even gonna lie." he said laughing as he handed her a sandwich.

"she's the same way but i'm glad because her last boyfriend was literal shit." she said wincing, "it was so bad like he made her cry for a whole month and then tried to get back together and she was gonna agree if we didn't convince her she deserved better and now she has better." she finished taking a bite of the ham and cheese sandwich.
