"im actually fucking terrified" nick spoke to halley on speaker while he was finishing getting ready.

halley laughed nervously, "me too even though im honestly glad to get out of the house. i've felt like a fifth wheel the entire time matt and chris have been here."

in response nick laughed feeling a bit better about the idea of hanging out with his ex boyfriend after about a year of no contact.

"shit he just texted he's here." nick spoke, "i gotta go i'll text you as soon as i get home. i wanna know how it goes with claire."

"obviously. and have fun nicky!" halley said before nick hung up in a hurry to get downstairs and into daniel's car.

when he finally got in he was greeted with a hey and hug which took him by surprise. he honestly thought daniel hated him for everything that happened.

"how are you?" daniel spoke as he pulled out of the triplets driveway. "i'm good! how are you?" nick asked in response.

"same. it's honestly crazy im living in los angeles but i love it already." he laughed as he gave nick his phone to put in directions to anywhere.

nick laughed, "that's how me, matt, and chris were. still miss boston though." he said as he typed in one of his favorite restaurants for lunch in. "i hope you're hungry. this place is so fucking good." he said as daniel laughed and drove to the restaurant.

on the way there, they talked about what they had done in the past year and reminisced on some old memories. by the time they arrived to the restaurant, nick was the most happiest he had been in a while.

while eating, nick decided to bring up the topic of them breaking up. "hey danny, i just wanted to apologize for everything that went down before i left. in all honestly i was scared to even give long distance a try." he spoke making daniel perk up.

"it's okay i get it." he laughed but nick stayed serious.

"i wish i would've at least given it a try." he paused nervously, "i never really got over you." he laughed awkwardly making daniel widen his eyes. "really?"

nick nodded awaiting his response, he had no idea if daniel had moved on, which he thought he probably did.

"i feel the same, that's the reason i reached out about you showing me around. i kinda wanted to see if we could rekindle our relationship." he blushed as nick smiled.

"id actually really love that." nick said, "i've really missed you."

"me too." danny replied, "i don't wanna jump right back into the relationship though."

nick nodded feeling the same. "oh me too. i would love for us to maybe go on a date?"

"this isn't a date?" daniel asked as nick widened his eyes, "im joking nicky but i wouldn't mind if it was." he smiled.

"so it's settled this is a date." nick spoke as they continued eating while laughing, talking and catching up more, falling back in love with one another.

meanwhile, halley and claire were hanging out at the newest art museum. they had already grabbed something to eat and were enjoying each other's companies.

"this is so pretty." claire remarked as she and halley stumbled across a beautiful art piece.

"eh not as pretty as another piece of art." she smiled looking at claire making her blush. "damn you're good hals." claire said laughing.

halley laughed along with her as they continued walking through the gallery.

they stopped at every piece, admiring every single detail, both sharing their love for art with one another.

by the end of the time they had seen every single piece in the museum. and as halley was driving back to claire's house they began talking about hanging out again.

"are you free friday?" claire asked as halley thought for a second before replying with a yes.

"i can pick you up then." claire said smiling. "it's a date then!" halley said before stopping herself awkwardly, "sorry"

"don't apologize" claire said, "i'd actually like that if you would?" she asked and halley smiled widely.

"i would love that. even though we haven't known each other long i already feel a connection with you." she said smiling looking at her briefly before looking back at the road.

throughout the rest of the ride, nothing much was really said but both the girls were thinking about how much they liked the other and how excited they were for friday.

anyways i think the next chapter might be the final one im still debating whether to have it like sixth months later or do it normal then another with sixth months later lmk which you want !!
