ANGEL CHAPTER THREE THE FIRST KISS
padme, anakin, and nebulé were enjoying the summer breeze as they sat in little boats.
anakin remained in in his beige jedi robe, while padme had changed into a yellow and purple flowy dress and nebulé; a floral rose dress.
since they could only fit two in one boat, padme decided to spend some quality time alone in her own boat while nebulé and anakin shared one close behind her.
"naboo's lovely", anakin commented.
"i've lived here most of my life, and yet i am still amazed at its beauty", nebulé added.
"that could be used in other contexts", anakin stated as he looked over at nebulé. he's seen her many times, and yet he is still amazed at her beauty.
nebulé looked over at him and for a moment she could've sworn he was leaning closer and closer but concluded it was her imagination and looked away.
"what did you mean when you said you've lived here for most of your life?", anakin asked.
"well, i'm not from naboo", nebulé explained, "i'm from a planet called valyria, in the outer rim"
nebulé finished talking and they sat in silence, but anakin sensed there was more to be said, from nebulé in specific. but he would learn of that some other time.
for now, he focused on how beautiful she looked in this bright lighting. how her white hair glowed in the light, how her lavender eyes shone brighter than they usually did, how rosy her cheeks were from the heat.
he noticed how the dress she wore revealed her collarbone, and how a simple piece of string wrapped around the back of her neck and travelled underneath her dress, resting beneath the surface. he couldn't help but get a sense of nostalgia looking at it.
"what's that?", he pointed at the string.
nebulé looked down at it, looking back up with a smile and mock offence on her face, "i can't believe you don't recognize this", she raised the piece of string to reveal the necklace anakin had given her a decade ago, and dangled it.
anakin couldn't help but reach out and take hold of the childish necklace with a grin.
this was the necklace he had given her the last time they spoke to each other.

anakin's mind was scrambled. he couldn't find nebulé, the girl he had come to realize he loved.
