ANGEL CHAPTER FIVE THE BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY
by the time anakin had announced their arrival into geonosis's atmosphere, nebulé had already changed into a more battle-ready outfit, with red sleeves and embroidery, and a grey vest-like piece of leather on top of that.
the ship entered geonosis's atmosphere with a gentle shove. the rocky red planet did not have many places to land, so they had to fly around in the ship for a while.
after a while of searching through the canyons, padme saw the columns of steam they were approaching.
"see those columns of steam straight ahead? they're exhaust vents of some type", she pointed out to her other copilot, anakin.
"that'll do", anakin agreed, and steered the ship into the depths of steam and fog, where it landed rather softly, despite the rocky surface.
nebulé, anakin, and padme all stood up, preparing to leave to ship.
"look, whatever happens out there, follow my lead", padme told the two of them, turning around to grab her coat, "i'm not interested in getting into a war here. maybe, as a member of the senate, i can find a diplomatic solution to this mess"
"don't worry", anakin laughed, "i've given up trying to argue with you"
nebulé laughed, that she agreed with. she loved padme, but once she made up her mind on something, there's not even a tiny chance you could get her to even reconsider slightly.
padme then turned around and looked at nebulé, "oh nebulé! i forgot to tell you. i think it's better if you stay in here and wait for me and anakin"
nebulé gave her a look of confusion, "why?"
"well because, you are younger, you're not as strong as me and anakin. i just think it's better", padme pithily said.
"oh, well i-", nebulé remembered how padme was still her senator and she had to listen to her, "i think you may be right, i'll wait here"
padme had been wrong, however. nebulé and the other three handmaidens, when padme was queen, had been taught how -incase of an emergency and the queen was only protected by the four of them- situation, they should know how to properly defend the queen. they were taught combat by the finest soldiers of naboo.
nebulé never thought there would've been a time where she personally would've had to use those skills, but there was a time for everything she guessed.
