ANGEL CHAPTER TWO THE JOURNEY TO NABOO
"i'm taking an extended leave of absence", padme informed jar jar, "it will be your responsibility to take my place in the senate. you are taking on a great responsibility for me. now, unless you can find yourself one, you will have no handmaiden to help you. the council has decided it's best if nebulé comes with me, since she could be tortured into giving information on my location. representative binks, i know i can count on you. Hmm?"
"meesa honoured to be taking on dissa heavy burden", jar jar said, "meesa accept this with muy, muy humility and, uh—"
"jar jar", padme interrupted, "we do not wish to hold you up", she pointed at herself and nebulé, "i'm sure you have a great deal to do"
"of course, miladies", jar jar bowed and trailed off.
padme whipped around to where anakin was waiting and strutted past, nebulé quickly following, "i do not like this idea of hiding".
anakin attempted to follow her to calm her down, but nebulé placed a hand on his chest, "don't. when she's like this, the best thing you can do for her is to let her cool off on her own"
nebulé then calmly walked to the elevator shaft and waited for it to arrive.
"and where are you going?", anakin walked over.
"to pack, of course", nebulé said with a 'duh' tone to her voice.
"and what, i'm just supposed to wait around here until one of you come out?", anakin rhetorically asked.
"well, you are the senator's guard so...", nebulé stepped into the elevator and pressed her floor number.
"i'll call someone up here", anakin said as he stepped into the elevator, "i'm going to go insane if i don't talk to someone for another twenty minutes"
nebulé chuckled as the doors closed.

the pair arrived in nebulé's smaller room. anakin took it upon himself to sit on nebulé's bed and watch her go back and forth from the closet and the suitcase on her mattress.
"padme's upset with the council's decision to send her to naboo. to be fair, i agree with her. i can only imagine how frustrating it can be to work to defeat the 'military creation act', and not be there when it's fate is decided", nebulé reasoned.
"sometimes we must let go of our pride and do what is requested of us", anakin countered.
nebulé paused for a moment and stared at anakin, "anakin, you've grown up"
