 Gon looked up from his breakfast as he heard Aunt Mito talking in the other room.

"Ging it's not that I don't love him, it's that I can't handle all the extra responsibilities that come with mothering him." Aunt Mito sighed, "You get that right?"

Then came Ging's reply, "I do and sadly, I can't help but agree, which is why I've made preparations to send him to an all boys boarding school."

Aunt Mito gasped quietly, "I hate to do it, but I think that was a good call. So when is he leaving? Have you told him yet?"

"He leaves tomorrow morning, and I haven't yet. I'll go tell him right now."

Gon felt tears coming to his eyes, 'Am I a burden? Are they really going to send me away?' Gon shook his head to clear his mind. 'No, but if they do, I'll run away to Killua's.'

Ging walked in and sat across from Gon. "Gon, I have something I need to talk to you about." he paused and looked down at his hands. "Some stuff has come up and it's made things really busy for me and Aunt Mito, so we just can't take care of you right now. That's why we're sending you to an all boys boarding school for a year or two. We promise to visit, but we're sorry that we can't raise you on our own right now. You should start packing, as you leave tomorrow."

Gon quivered in despair, "ok," he ran up to his room and started packing. Not for boarding school, but for Killua's.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
That night Gon slipped out of his window and started to run with his stuff. Seeing as he would need to sneak aboard an old fishing boat headed to Killua's town, Gon sprinted even faster so as to not miss it.
Once aboard the cargo area of the boat, Gon quietly layed down behind some fish crates and texted Killua.
Gon: Hey Killu I know it's late but I'm headed over to your place, so see you in an hour or two.
Gon waited for a reply but half an hour later he had drifted asleep to the lull of the boat, still without a reply.
~~~~~~~~~~~

DING!

The loud noise woke Gon up and he saw his phone flashing Killua's reply.

Killua: Yea ok I'll be waiting, also sorry for not responding earlier my parents forced me to go assassinate someone.

Gon smiled to himself and gathered all his things together so he could leave the second the boat docked.

Not long after he had finished collecting himself, Gon felt a slight jolt that he recognized as the boat docking, so he took a deep breath and sprinted up to the surface and hopped off onto the ground as he heard angry cries behind him.

Gon sprinted all the way to Killua's gate and dropped his stuff. Gon pushed his sleeves up and started shoving the door with all of his strength, but still he couldn't get it to move.

After a while, Gon gave up and sat, panting, at the base of the doors. As he closed his eyes, a figure emerged from out of the darkness and opened three of the doors on the first try, shoving both Gon and Gon's stuff through the doors.

Gon looked around but couldn't see anyone. Still, he knew. "Killua!" He said happily jumping up with his arms spread out in the direction he felt Killu's aura coming from.

Killu slipped out from the darkness and laughed, embracing Gon. "It's good to see you."

"I missed you so so much!" Gon exclaimed, finally releasing his best friend. "But I do need to fill you in on why I'm hear." Gon got serious.

"What happened?" Killua asked, cocking his head slightly to one side.

"Aunt Mito and Ging tried to send me to a boarding school, but I didn't want to go, so I packed up and left." Gon shrugged sadly.

Killua took a step back, taking in his friend's aura. "I'm really sorry that happened Gon, but on the bright side, you get to stay here with me and my 'delightful' folks!"

"Oh yea!" Gon smiled at Killua, "Do you mind introducing me to them all and making sure they're ok with me staying?"

Killua rolled his eyes, "Honestly, you care too much Gon, they'll have to get used to you either way, although I am sorry if they mistreat you at first."

Gon hopped back and started walking around. Still half blind in the dark, he ran into Killua, who caught him just in time as he fell. "I do believe it's time for bed," Killu teased, looking down at Gon. "Before some idiot runs into a tree and breaks his arm, -again. "
