It was roughly 5 am, and that was far too late in the day for assassination trainees. Killua sloppily threw on some old clothes and woke up Gon.

"Mhmmm," Gon grumbled while rolling over, which roughly translated to 'It's too early to get up, harass me later please.' from Gon-ese.

Killua made a face at Gon which got Gon to jump up and make the face right back.

"You're so childish." Laughed Killua, throwing some clothes to Gon. His eyes then darkened,

"Training is today, be late and consequences are beyond severe."

Gon jumped out of bed, and sped into his new clothes.

"Okay! Let's go!"

Killua stared at the now fully awake and fully ready Gon who had been peacefully sleeping merely 30 seconds before in awe.

"Oh, okay."

Killua took Gon's hand and ran through the mansion and outside to a training area the size of 4 football fields behind his house.

"Tsk tsk," Xeno tutted, "You boys are 12 minutes late. 1000 push-ups next time it happens."

"Yes sir." Said Killua.

"Okay." Said Gon at the same time, earning a harsh elbow to the gut from Killu.

Xeno chose to ignore it, but gave Gon a harsh glare nonetheless.

"We will start with poison resistance training, which took Killu about a month, so I expect it to take you the same." Xeno said, pouring three drops of vomit-inducing poison into a gallon of water. "We will be doing knife skill practice the whole day, and over the course of the day, you are expected to drink the whole thing. Succeed in staying vomit-free and you move on. If not, you will be killed on the spot."

Gon was visibly terrified, along with Killua, but Xeno was chuckling as he handed Gon his gallon of poison water.

Throughout the day, just as promised, Xeno had Gon doing thrusts, strikes, slashes, ect. With a knife, all while drinking the poison water.

At first, drinking the poison water was okay, because it hadn't reached any part of Gon's gut, but the second it did, Gon collapsed and writhed in pain for roughly 5 minutes before forcing himself to stand up and keep practicing.

Towards the middle was the worst because he drank and processed a lot of water throughout his body, constantly fighting horrible pains and heaves on a mission to have him vomit.

The end was the easiest, with no water left and everything processed, it was like a normal practice session.

"Very good." Said Xeno randomly, the sun setting behind him. "Your body has finally finished off the poison, and although it was evidently a struggle, that is unimportant. We will continue training tomorrow, for now, wash up, eat, and rest."

"Yes sir!" Gon said, bowing and hurrying off.

Killu slowly followed the sprinting Gon inside before calling his name.

"Gon."

A pause, Gon had stopped running. "Yes?"

"You've been acting differently the past couple of days, care to explain yourself?" Killu shared calmly.

He already knew Gon would say he didn't, but that would only further confirm Killua's suspicions. Killu had been closely watching Gon's training earlier, and it didn't seem anything like Gon's normal style. Upon further inspection, Killua had actually recognized the fighting style. He knew it was Illumi's. And when thinking about it, it made sense. Illumi's nen ability involved hypnosis, and he had been trying to assassinate Gon recently. Another thing was all the blank expressions and lack of emotion. Killua wondered if Illumi had planted a needle in Gon's head, and that was the only thing he was unsure about.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Killu, I'm acting quite in the same manner I always have." Gon said, never sounding less like himself in his life.

"Nope, that was super Illumi and definitely not Gon. Sorry, gig's up and I have a feeling that there's a needle in your head, so I'm gonna have to find a pain-free way to remove that." Killua said, starting to ramble.

"Chill! I'm not being hypnotized! I swear!" Gon suddenly yelled at Killua, turning around.

Killua decided it was best to stop being suspicious so obviously.

"Oh, okay, fine, I believe you, and take it back." Killua promised. 'Damn I lie constantly, but for whatever reason it just feels that much worse when lying to Gon.'

Killua and Gon spent the rest of the night in Killu's room gaming until they called it a night.

Killua listened to Gon's soothing breath, in, and out, until he was sure he was asleep. Then he put his plan into action.

'Sorry Gon' He thought.
