As they set out on horseback, they headed down the abandoned side of the highway that led to Atlanta while looking at all the abandoned cars that looked like they were trying to flee from the place. Violet couldn't help but ask with a look of suspicion at the forever-frozen abandoned vehicles, "So what makes you believe that your family is out there, let alone still alive in all this mess?" the question had been eating away at her since she unwillingly joined this seemingly
stupid suicide mission. Rick gave her an offended look as if she said that he looked silly wearing his police outfit in the middle of the apocalypse, which, to be fair, she did think it, but she won't say anything about it. yet anyways

"I know they are. What gave me faith was that when I went into my house, I saw that all the family pictures were gone. My wife must have packed them when they evacuated, so I know they're out somewhere waiting for me to return them" Violet could only stare at Rick with a blank expression as he said this.

'I-is this idiot being real right now? This is the man that Morph is forcing me to help? He is a suicidal idiot if this is how he thinks and views the world and having hope like that,' she couldn't help but feel slight dread as she thought this. 'This idiot going to get himself killed, damnit! and if he gets me killed while helping him, I'm going to come back and kill him myself!' Violet couldn't believe what Morph got them into. Now they have to babysit the Sheriff, who has too much faith in this new apocalyptic world. She couldn't help but voice this particular thought. "Your faith is going to get you killed or hurt. If you have faith, you're gonna get hurt. What if they're dead? What if you see them walking around with the dead what then? Where will your faith be if you see that you had all that faith only to be let down?" Violet couldn't fathom how someone could have so much faith in finding someone lost in a world like this. All was quiet for a few minutes as Rick contemplated how to answer.

"I'm not sure. Just call it a gut feeling that I know my family is still alive and waiting for me to find them." Rick finally answered. Violet could only shake her head at his answer, but she was not going to argue on the topic, but she did want to say one more thing before leaving the issue alone.

"You're stupid for getting your hopes up. You're setting yourself up for disappointment because of it. You're going to get hurt one day because of it." she said before looking forward and making Anubis speed up slightly Rick did the same with the light brown horse he was riding. It was quiet for the rest of the ride to the city.

As they made it to the city, everything was eerily quiet except for the horses walking down the street. Violet looked around in suspicion as they hadn't seen any walkers yet. As they trotted further into the city, they walked by a broken down helicopter and more army vehicles. "It's quite...." Violet says, looking around with squinted eyes. "Too quiet," she finishes as they walk by a burnt-down bus with some passengers. As the seated walkers spotted them and slowly got up to try and get to them, which startled Rick's horse as he tried to calm her down, and as they quickly moved away, Rick went ahead of Violet, who was quick to kill the walkers with her silent gun.

"Steady girl, it's only a few of them," Rick says, clearly forgetting what 'a few' could do if in a group

"Hey, num nuts." Violet whisper shouted, "In case you have forgotten, a few could lead to certain death. We have to be careful where there are three. There are bound to be about three hundred more to follow suit," she quietly chastised him as she got off of Anubis when they reached a tank before telling him to go and watched in confusion as he started to run before stopping and looking back and stared her in the eyes as if he was trying to say he'd see her again before running off back out of the eerie town before hearing the dreadful sound of a helicopter getting closer. When she looked at the windows of an office building, she saw what appeared to be a government helicopter. Violet froze in slight fear before going to hide until she heard Rick try to pursue it and ran after him, secretly using her unnatural speed to catch up to the horse since Rick was too fixated on the aircraft to see her use her abilities. "What the hell were you-" she started to say when the horse stopped before quickly stopping at sight before them.
