5: Escape

I watched as everyone was shocked. They looked at me. I took the chance and bolted into the woods.

"Shit! Catch that girl now!" I heard him yell. I moved faster than ever not know these woods and not caring if there are traps. I changed direction and heard them near me. I changed into my human form and jumped up in the trees. I waited and seen them run by and I hopped from one tree to another. All of a sudden, the tree shook and I fell onto rock. I groaned. I got up to see his pack. I backed up, hissing in pain.

"Please stop this! You're safer with us. You're a rogue wolf. Be lucky my pack didn't kill you."

"I'm not a rogue wolf. I'm a lone wolf." I said. They stopped.

"Where is your pack?"

"I don't have one anymore. Now leave. Me. Alone." I got up slowly while going back. I turned to seen a high cliff with water. I gulped.

"You're trapped. You have no where to go but with us."

"You think I want to risk my life to be in your pack?! I would rather die than be in a pack!" I yelled.

"Luce, don't do this. Please." The alpha begged. I turned and jumped off the edge.

"No!!" He yelled. I fell into the water. I swam until I was on the beach. I ran through jumping over trees that were fallen over and bushes. I was running for hours until I ran into a tree house home.

I ran up and checked to see if anyone was in it or nearby but I didn't smell anything. I went in and tried to find clothes. I found a pair and decided to take a quick shower.

I hid away from all the windows. It was bright outside and I was scared for my life. I stayed hidden when I heard noises. I teared up.

You have to be strong. Why me?

I was crying lightly.

"Why are you crying?" I heard. I whipped my head to see a girl.

"I'm sorry if this is your home. I was running away from wolves that were chasing me." I explained.

"Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry." I looked at the lady and felt safe with her. "What's your name?"

"My name's Sage." I lied.

"Hi Sage. I'm Rosie." She smiled and helped me up.

"Let me help you make some food." I nodded. When she finished, she place bowl in front of me and her.

"How old are you?"

"19."

"You're a baby running around here in the woods by yourself?"

"Yeah I was eating when wolves over ran my home and I ran away but they chased me."

"Oh i'm so sorry. How were you able to escape them?"

"I jumped off the huge cliff into the water and started running from the beach to here."

"Wah that's a high jump."

"How old are you?" I asked her.

"I'm 22."

"Oh you're pretty young too."

"Yeah me and my friends live here. You're actually wearing my old dress."

"Oh I'm sorry."

"No no, it's okay. You look cute in it so you can have it." She smiled. I smiled back.

Alpha's POV

When I seen her jump off the cliff, I screamed and ran to see her fall into the water.

"Fuck! Find her now!" I yelled and they ran to find her while I went home with the rest. I went into the house and dug through her back to see what was in it. She had pictures with a girl from her job. I sat in the chair of my office. I was thinking about her.

Who are you really and why are you so afraid? Why were you in hiding? Please be okay, Luce.

I was fidgeting trying to not let my feeling get to me but damn it. The moon goddess gave me a lone wolf. Someone who was an outcast in her pack. I asked every question while trying to figure it out. Hours passed and it became loud. I ran down to the living room.

"Did you find her?" I asked.

"No Alpha. We looked everywhere near the beach and not a single trace of her scent like it was masked." Jackson said. I slammed my hands on the table.

"Damn it!" I yelled.

"What do you want to do, Alpha?" Irene asked.

"I-I don't know." I was lost.

"Well maybe she ended up in a different territory. We can check in with our neighboring pack. Tell them if they see her to contact us." Shownu said. I hummed.

"I'll ask for a meeting with them."
