Jimin

I was absolutely devastated at the fact that Jungkook was definitely not big on morality and I prided myself on it, but he was still the reason I was loving myself again, hoping again, and feeling again. The question I once asked myself was what did I want from this situationship, but when we were looking into each other's eyes, understanding that we have got each other, that felt right. I needed only Jungkook and no one else at that moment.

But that's the thing about time. It is ever-changing.

I doubted again that he deserved someone who wasn't broken like me, someone having wounds running so deep that they wouldn't heal. I knew it wasn't moral — talk about hypocrisy — but I still wanted him.

He was out of the shower, looking like a model with his long and wet hair dripping water, his naked torso soft and his waist so tiny it seemed impossible on a man of his stature.

He scurried into the small closet and returned with a simple cream shirt after a few minutes. "Are you going somewhere?" I asked, my heart suddenly heavy. What I wanted was to cuddle with him after sex. I cringed at the thought.

He gave me a slow, villainous smile that palpitated my heart. "Have to go get my stuff from the bar. Pretty sure I am fired."

My body started panicking as I rushed to him. "No, why? Oh, god! Jungkook, I am so sorry."

He gripped my cheeks so my lips popped out and he sucked them into his mouth and released them with a big smacking kiss sound. "I don't give any hoots or toots to that peanut money, Angel. Don't you dare say sorry again."

I nodded, my face still in his grip.

"Good," pecking my lips one more time, he pulled back and took out the glasses from his pocket. "We'll do something fun when I come back. I won't be long."

And he was gone, leaving me to deal with my arrhythmic heart.

I slumped on the bed, thinking about the morning. We've had plenty of sex I'd say, but there was something about the last one. It wasn't elaborate or planned, but it was intimate in a way that tingled my heart.

The time was clocking slowly as I went to shower and lazily began to wash my body, thinking I should do something to cheer Jungkook up when he returned. Surely, getting fired mustn't be on his to-do list for today.

Finishing the rest of the shower quickly, I got out in a robe as I got an idea. Time was of the essence, and I had much to do before Jungkook returned.

As much as I lied to myself that I was only thankful to Jungkook for being there for me as a friend, or that I needed to cheer him up, I also knew that my idea had something more to it.

Vacuuming the space quickly while looking up a few mocktail recipes on the internet, I set everything in motion. Jungkook liked the place clean, so the whole manor was already in a good state. Once I ensured that the room was squeaky clean, I pulled down the projector screen and set the device on a table for the movie. He wanted to take me out on a date, but I decided to bring the date to him.

I played the Lord of the Rings movie, testing the sound and visuals once. "This is perfect."

I looked around the space, my hands on my hips as I scrutinized. I crinkled my nose in distaste. "Ambiance is a little bland," I murmured and started thinking about how to beautify it. The recollection came soon that I'd bought a lot of lights last Christmas. Some of them were still unused and packed up in a box.

By the time I managed to get the lights out and set them across, I was breathing hard and sweating again. I was hot. Never before did I feel the need to turn on the AC, but I did when sweat threatened to ruin my fresh after-bath skin.

The moment the cool air hit, my mood changed instantly. Somewhere back in my mind, I remembered Korea and the summers. I pushed the thought away quickly though. Now was the time for taking charge in the kitchen and not reminiscing.

He didn't drink alcohol, so I started working on mocktails and put wine in the freezer for myself. I cut up some cheese and recollected that Jungkook loved muffins. He had them when he first met me and he would always add them to the grocery list. I baked some fresh with banana and raisins for dessert while air-frying chicken wings and microwaving popcorn. When I was finished, the whole place was filled with a delectable aroma.

With a quick glance at the clock, I realized two hours had passed. I had to hurry and get changed. My choice was a white and blue striped shirt and black pants.

The bright light started reflecting on the shiny floors when I flipped the switch. Jungkook was fond of scented candles, so I borrowed one from his collection in the kitchen and set it up on the nightstand.

The wine bottle shone delightfully under the lights when I carried it to the room. The place was smelling amazing, the food was scrumptious, and the ambiance was romantic, but the sitting arrangement wasn't looking comfortable. I knew we had to sit on the floor, so I pumped up the air mattress that I'd bought for emergencies and never used and covered it with velvet sheets. Toss pillows went on it next before small tables for food. Finally, I was satisfied with the result.

Then, I waited, reading a Sidney Sheldon novel on my bed. I was on page 59 when I heard the lock on the door and then the soft click sound. My instinct was to fix my hair first as I got up.

Jungkook when stepped inside after taking off his shoes by the door, he froze for a moment as though he had entered the wrong house. "Angel," his lips caught a smile quickly. "What is all this?"

"I wanted to do something nice after the tough day at work. I prepared some drinks and snacks," I pointed towards our little date setting and he stepped towards me, his body smelling so good that I wanted to dip into his skin and have a taste. "Let's watch a movie."

I realized now he was holding a bouquet of orange roses. "This is a date." His eyes hovered over the lighting and the big screen, his arms registering the cold and coming up with tiny goosebumps.

"No." I chuckled.

His neck cocked as he skimmed through while inhaling deeply, smelling the fragrance of his cherry-scented candles. "If I were a woman, you'll have pulled an estrogen hattrick. Food, music, candles," he retaliated. "I am declaring it a date." He handed me the bouquet.

"Jungkook!" I bellowed, feeling the flowers being crushed against my chest as he picked me up and started to rotate. "Please!" I laughed. "Put me down."

"Say it," he slowed down but didn't stop. "Confess that it's a date."

"It's not. Now put me down." I warned.

"Sorry," he grinned before taking fast turns again. I grabbed his collar and slid it a little down to bite his neck, the only area which was in my reach.

He groaned in a seductive way before gently slumping on the air mattress with me. "You really did this for me?" He asked again.

I couldn't help the treacherous blush as it gripped me and I turned red while I managed to slip away from his lap. I could say something sarcastic, but there was no point in denying it, so I nodded. "I hope you like it."

"I love it, Angel. Thank you for taking me on my first date." He expressed fondly in a soft voice.

"First date?" My smile wavered at his words. It was quite unbelievable that a guy like him never dated before.

"Mmhm," he was smiling softly. "And I can't tell you how happy I am that it's with you."

I set the flowers near my thigh and held his face, cupping his cheeks. There was a calmness in his eyes that I'd never seen before. "What is something you want the most, Jimin?" He asked in the same soft tone.

I leaned in, touching my lips to his. "Normalcy. I want to live a very normal life and die a very normal death in my bed when I am old and grey." Then gradually, I kissed him roughly and passionately.
