Jungkook

"Jungkook," his tone was almost squeaky, panicked. "What are you saying?" I released him and walked out of the kitchen. I shouldn't have said that, especially when I knew what was at risk. Four long years. He flipped my body harshly and halted me. "What do you mean?" There was a menacing undertone to his voice.

"I am not getting into this."

"You dare walk away from me now and see what I'll do to you."

His warning made me laugh a little out of other things, my heart pumping boldly. "Nothing you'd do to me won't be anything I don't already deserve or have been served. Go ahead. Take your shot." I opened my arms, inviting him to punch me again or drive a knife through my heart.

He didn't lift a finger.

"Why?" I smirked, knowing how much my insolence was angering him. "You hate that you still love me too much to make good on your threats?"

Jimin glared at me, his chest raising rapidly, reminding me of another time he was this breathless. In the midst of all this, I wanted to grab his mouth and suck his tongue until he begged me to fuck him good. "Do you know it was my fault you got abducted?" I instigated further, and the look in his eyes was of someone who was betrayed by his own kin.

Fuck. How much could I say before he dropped to the ground screaming? His steely resolve was singing another story. After talking to my father, something has changed in Jimin. Maybe he was going to take it after all.

"Please tell me that you didn't ask Noah to-"

"Fuck, baby," I crossed my heart and sincerely hoped to die. "Do you really think so low of me? Just for thinking that he deserved you, I am going to make that sorry excuse of a mother fucker cry bloody tears. I can't bear it if you look at someone else with your smile. How can you even think that I'd do such a thing?"

Jimin looked convinced by my answer, but he was angry, and when anger takes over, every rational thought stops making sense. "Hell, Jimin," My heart shook against my ribs, wanting to break free. My hands were framing his cheeks the next moment. "I did everything that I did to keep you safe and close to me, but never once think that I wanted anyone to harm you. Whatever my father told you...it might have been true, but all I wanted was for you to be safe."

He looked into my eyes, his struggle between wanting to believe me and wanting to convince himself that he wasn't still in love with me was sheerly visible. "What did you do?" He was scared, his voice deserting him slowly.

Taking the leverage after he didn't push my hands away from his face, I guided him to the couch and grabbed hold of his hands, sitting beside him. Before starting, I looked down, sighing and closing my eyes. When I opened them, I only spoke the truth. "Yes, I didn't find you accidentally that night. My father — as you must know now — isn't a big fan of me. I have mutual feelings. That night he sent someone to threaten me."

"Threaten you to do what?"

"Not to do anything, but to give him something that I don't have. At least not yet."

Jimin's brows scrunched. Definitely a good sign. He was interested in what I was saying.

"The thing is... After that fight that night which you already suspected, I made sure to wipe the CCTV footage and steal the cameras," I thought about how much to tell him all at once. "On finding that you were gone with my Jeep right before you disappeared, I traced your phone and my Jeep and found them both by the coffee shop in Pinna 11. I should've known Noah must also be trailing my moves. He knew what I had done with those cameras weeks ago, and the police being the lazy bastards that they are, only reported the stolen CCTV cameras mildly and didn't get the replacements right away. Noah took advantage of it. He knew the only place in the city where I had no eyes was Pinna 11. So if you think I deserve to go through hell for it, you know you only have to name it. I will walk there myself with the biggest smile."
