"Good morning, sunshine." My brother says walking through his house. We of course partied a little last night and all of us kinda crashed anywhere. I slept with Kie on the pull out couch. "Mornin." I say, covering my face back up. He walks over and grabs a beer taking it outside. I roll over and grab my phone. I had a couple messages from my mom wondering where I was. I'm sure she eventually figured it out. I sit up on the couch bed and stretch. Kie is now up. "Good morning" she says to me. "Morning." I stand up and grab my backpack out of the floor. "See ya Kie. I gotta head home." I say to her. "See you later" She smiles. Walking outside I see Pope laying on the couch on the porch. "Later Pope." I say walking bye. "Bye Josie" He mumbles.
John B is out laying on the hammock. I walk up towards him. "Bye JB. I'll probably see you later." I say. "Where you going?" He asks sitting up. "I'm gonna walk home." I respond. "Um, no you're not. I'm taking you." He says jumping up. "You really don't have to." I tell him. "I'm not letting my little sister walk alone. You could get kidnapped." He says. I roll my eyes. "I'm sure I'll be fine." "Get in the car." He looks at me and says. I throw my hands up. "Fine"

"Thank you. See ya." I say closing the car door and walking away. As I walk up my driveway I hear someone yelling my name. "Jo!" They yell. I turn my head to see my all time best friend, who also happens to be my neighbor. She lives a couple houses down from me.

That's the one and only Sarah Cameron. Kook princess. Daughter of Ward Cameron. Her families kind of a big deal. I've always lived beside her so we've literally grown up together.
She runs up to me and hugs me. "Well hello there." I say, stumbling back. "I've missed you!" She yells. "I've missed you more!" I yell back. I've been visiting my aunt in Florida for the past 2 months and haven't seen Sarah yet. "How was your aunts? Meet any cute boys?" She giggles. "It was fun. Nope. No boys." I sigh. We walk up my drive way together.
"So I hear your brothers throwing a little party later." She says. "He is? He hasn't said anything about it to me yet." I say to her. "Well I'm going. And so are you." She says, stopping to look at me. "Sure thing." I say giving a thumbs up. She laughs and rolls her eyes. "Do you wanna come over for a little bit and get ready?" She asks. "Yeah. I need a shower, though." I sigh. "Just take one at my house. You can just wear something of mine too if you want. "Okay, that works."
We make our way towards her house. We're greeted by her dad when we reach the door. "Hey, dad." She says giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Hi, sweetie." "Hey, pops." I say, giving him a kiss on the cheek too. "Hey, Jojo." He's pretty much been like a dad to me my whole life. Y'know since my dad only ever cared about finding some treasure then went missing. Him and my dad were actually friends. We make our way up to her room. She throws me some clothes I've left here before and I go to the bathroom.
