Our Love Story // Chase Davenport

i went down to the lab in my pj's not caring about if i should change or not. i took the elevator to the lab and walked down hereinh davenport and leo talking. davenport was telling leo how he doesn't need to touch his things.

i walked up to chase and he kissed me on the lips and pulled me in by the waist. "hey, babe." chase said. before i could say hey back there was a hush of wind around us. leo turned on one of davenports gadjets making everything go everywhere. i got under the table as chase went to go help turn it off.

"you might wanna put a little warning sign on that. so what are you having? garage sale for geeks?" leo started.

"and that's my cue to go back upstairs because i don't trust you three down here." i laughed as they looked shocked at my words. "what it's true. leo's the one who breaks stuff. davenports the one who has a big ego. and chase he'll just get distracted by my cuteness." i laughed as i walked off into the elevator and went back upstairs.

adam was upstairs watching the tv when i went into the kitchen. "hey, cadence, our show is on. yeah!" adam exclaimed as he turned up the volume on the tv.

i rounded from the kitchen, got my favorite blanket, and sat down on the couch next to adam.  "ooh! season 3 of girlfriends is on!" i sang happily. me and adam have been waiting all week for it to come out on tv and it finally has.

"oh my gosh! i never saw that one coming. she cheated on her man with a billionaire. oh no. tasha is dating a billionaire." adam said in shock all at once.

"no, adam. i think we're good. davenports a millionaire i believe and if not then oh well." i laughed. adam sighed and we watched some more of our show until everyone else came into the living and we shut off the tv recording our show.

adam started doing push ups as leo was on top of him. tasha was on the phone. davenport had some weird thing on his head. bree and chase were throwing around a ball. and i was next to tasha.

"yes, mom. leo, cadence, and i love our new home.-oh you should come and visit.-" tasha said looking around

"467, 468–put some muscle in it. 469..." leo said as davenport shushed them. "i'm picking up radio free singapore." davenport says as he starts singing in foreign language. "that's gonna be a hit. you mark my words." he finished.

"but not today." tasha said quickly. "why? because donald's not feeling well and neither is cadence she's still in her pj's with her favorite blanket around her. you know how she gets when she doesn't have that thing when she's sick." tasha laughed lightly as i hit her arm. davenport then looked at her weirdly. "look, i gotta go. they just threw up in my house." tasha made an excuse quickly. "love you bye!" she hung up.

"you know we're gonna have to have you mother over eventually." davenport said. "yeah, and quit saying i'm sick." i complained. "i think i actually am sick." i said as i threw up in the sink. chase ran over and held my hair up and got a napkin to wipe my face off. "thanks." i smiled and went to go lay down on the couch.

"look my mom doesn't just visit. she has inspections. if she spots anything weird, she will use it as her excuse to move in." tasha said as chase threw the ball to bree and she super sped over to get the ball.

"nothing weird here." she said and ran off.

"chase." i whispered. i've been getting sicker by the minute and i don't know what i have.

"yes, cadence?" chase quickly came over. if..if i die-" i tried to say but he quickly cut me off.

"no. no, you're not going to die." chase said sternly. "chase, your not listening. if i do. i want you to promise me that you will move on. that you will find someone better." i pleaded him.

"you know i can't do that." he said his eyes getting watery. "i think this is why i've been being weird for the last month. i think there's something wrong with me." i said as davenport came over.

"we need to get you to a hospital. now!" he exclaimed and chase scooped me up in his arms and ran out the house to davenports car. he buckled me up and made sure that i was okay. davenport soon came out and got in the car. "chase, you need to stay here. i need you to watch things. make sure leo doesn't do anything." davenport told chase.

"but i-i can't just leave her." a tear trickled down his face as one did on mine to. "don't worry chase. i'll be back before you know it. i'm sure it's not-" i tried to say but i started to cough like crazy.

"chase, go!" davenport said. chase then closed the door to the car and stood in the driveway as davenport drove off.

A/n: hey guys i'm going to make it to where cadence was in the hospital for two weeks and wasn't getting better. that the day davenport took her to the hospital he had to go home real quick for the call. that's when everything happened. so tasha's mom used cadences sickness as an excuse to stay until cadence gets better. but cadence only gets worse. let's see what happens next.

CHASES POV

"i can't believe it's been two weeks." leo said as i was pacing around like crazy. davenport said she had to come home because she's been in the hospital for too long. she hasn't gotten any better since. "chase, chase, chase! snap out of it!" leo caught my attention as he shook my shoulders. "look we're all stressed out. just look at adam he hasn't been able to watch their favorite tv show for two weeks! it's eating him up inside. and look at bree. she's going mad. she hasn't been sleeping properly and neither have you." leo said all at once. "we just have to wait til she gets home." leo patted my shoulder as the door opened.

"no we don't." adam said. he ran to the door and picked up cadence. i couldn't tell if she was better or if she was worse, adam was blocking my view of her.

davenport walked around them and came over to us. "cadence almost died. i know what your thinking. 'why didn't she die if she was supposed to' well i gave her bionics to keep her alive. if i hadn't of done this she would be dead right now." davenport said.

"ow!" adam screamed.

"sorry! i didn't mean to!" cadence yelled as adam blew his hand off. "what happened?" davenport asked.

"she blew a big laser circle at me." adam whined as he kept blowing his hand.

"i'm sorry. i'm new to this. does this mean i need a capsule?" she asked davenport. "yes you will. and you will have to move down to the lab as well." davenport told her.

"is it okay if i go and get some of my stuff?" cadence asked him as she had a hopeful smile on her face. she didn't once look at me this whole time and i don't know why.

"sure. just don't use-" davenport said but got interrupted as she super sped off to her room. "your bionics yet." he finished as she left.

"so what powers does she have?" leo asked cheerfully. "moms gonna be so pissed." leo laughed as davenport gave a nervous smile to us.
