It had now been 2 days since the whole "instagram" thing and now that I've thought about it, I really fucked up. I mean we could've really had something good but of course I had to fuck it up again.

Just like I fuck up everything in my life.

I'd sent her tons upon tons of messages apologizing and asking her if we could at-least talk but, no reply. She read lots of them but replied to none. Until finally, I was working in my home gym when I got a message.

zo: can we talk, i feel like we need to figure this out.

De'andre: Sure, 5 today? Or whatever works for you i don't mind.

zo: k meet you at the pearls diner

Finally shes come to her senses and realized that we are exactly what each other needs right now.

I had to look my best and be my best if i wanted her to forgive me.

-2 hours later-

Z O R A ' S P O V

I walked into the diner taking in the comforting smell of coffee and waffles. I immediately spotted De'andre due to him sticking out like a sore thumb, he was dressed in a cream colored button up, black dress pants, and Jordan 1s that matched his shirt perfectly.

Pearls was always like home to me. When I moved to New York this was my comfort spot, I even formed a close bond with the owner Denny who became like a second father to me.

I spotted Denny at the counter as he was writing something in his book. Denny was tall, broad, with and olive complexion, and a beard that was half grey.

"Denny!" I nearly screamed in excitement.

"Kid! How are ya sweetie?" He replied with a big smile walking around the counter.

"Im good just meeting with a friend." I said nodding over at De'andre.

"Ahhh a friend, I see" he says putting up air quotes and winking at me. "Listen here, if ole boy gives you any problems you tell me. He'll be handled in no time." I laughed and patted his shoulder before making my way over to the table.

As I walked the sound of my converse stomping against the tile floor caused De'andre to remove his focus from his phone to my face.

"zo, hey um-" he said standing up as I threw my hands in the air and pulled my chair out signaling for him to sit down.

For a few moments we just looked around and at each-other awkwardly.

"So listen-"
"Look Zo-" We both talked over each-other abruptly.

"Please you go," De'andre said to me staring deep into my eyes almost making me forget everything that happened in the span of a week.

He had practically left me a dozen messages apologizing and telling me how bad he felt and honestly, it felt weird to see this guy who had been known for hopping from woman to woman be so desperate. It felt flattering even.

"I just wanted to tell you, im sorry. I never really meant for things to turn out that way and to be honest, I tend to over think the smallest things." I explained chewing my lip and fiddling with the hem of my hoodie. God did he make me so nervous.

I mean the eye contact on that man could make a penguin sweat.

"Of course, you have every right to be angry. I did to much with the entire situation and I understand why you were worried. If we're gonna be moving on with this relationship we gotta be more open and get to know each-other a lot more to avoid stuff like this." The way he spoke was so passionate. The words stained my brain, it was like ecstasy.

As this moment I couldn't fathom how perfect he was. The was the sun shined on his skin, was beautiful. His lips, full and round and God those eyes.

I could do nothing in this moment but lean in. Feeling his lips on mine felt like a slab of heaven. Though it was not the first time, I wished for it not to be the last.

I felt a vibration in my pocket sucking me out of my thoughts. I pulled back and grabbed my phone groaning in annoyance.

Mom

Mom? Just when I thought things were going right, what the fuck could she want?
