Ringgg!
After an incredibly eventful day, it was finally time for some unwinding.
Heh...that's probably something a fool would say. As a matter of fact, this was the exact moment I was waiting for to proceed with the adjustments for Class D.
"Hey, Yamauchi! Wanna go hit the arcade today? Class has been so boring. We deserve some fun, yeah?" Ike tapped his friend on the shoulder.
Let me visit Suzune's memories to grasp what an 'arcade' is. Let's see—loud music, loud people, loud machines, colorful lights, and crowded areas. I see. Definitely not a place I'd visit.
In contrast, Yamauchi cheered as he stood up from his desk, "Hell yeah! Let's go!"
As the two fools were fixing their belongings, they called the attention of the hothead at the back of the class.
"Hey, Sudou! Come join us. We're going to the arcade."
"Nah, I'll pass. I have club practice today," Sudou rejected the idiot pair as he picked up his bag. "I'll go now."
The red-haired boy left the room with no hint of hesitation. I suppose he really does not feel like playing some arcade today.
"Sheesh. Okay," Ike turned to Yamauchi, "You want to invite someone else?"
"What about the professor? I bet his specs also cover the arcade."
"No, I think he's in Hirata's study group. Professor kinda lame now."
"Man. I guess we're going alone."
As I listened in on their highly intelligent conversation, a prying seatmate opened up with a question.
"Do you want to join them, Horikita?"
"Perhaps," I turned to the brown-haired boy with neutral eyes. "Do you enjoy spectating on every little detail, Ayanokouji-kun?"
"Maybe I do. But you did look like you were interested in the arcade."
"Stop it," I glared at him.
"My bad."
As Ayanokouji was distracting me with baseless taunts, my targets quickly left the room and headed into the hallway.
"I'm leaving," I declared.
I took out my phone and sent my very first text message to a very important person. After which, I followed the idiot pair.
After a minute, I caught up to them.
"Ike-kun. Yamauchi-kun," I called to the pair.
Curious as to who was calling them, Ike and Yamauchi's heads turned to me faster than I was prepared for.
Does it trigger a magical effect whenever a girl calls out to them? If so, that's an impressive thing to unlock, but I am afraid its uses would not amount to anything. I disregarded the thought soon enough.
"Uhh. Horikita-san. Do you need anything?" Ike took the initiative to reply.
Perfect.
"Would you two be interested in playing a game with me?" I said, flashing a faint grin.
Yamauchi's expression lit up a bit. Perhaps the prospect of playing a game with me got his hopes up.
He said, "Oh! You want to come with us to the arcade? Man, you should've said so earlier!"
"Really, Horikita-san? Maybe you're not so bad after all," Ike went with the flow.
However, I had no plans to go to the arcade.
