School has been going well really well. I'm doing well in all my classes so that's one less thing I need to stress about. Also, my therapist knocked me down from weekly virtual visits to bi-weekly since I'm making so much progress and I might have someone to thank for that.Jordan.
I haven't spoken to him about my mom, because I mean the whole ordeal was televised. He just makes me experience the happiness I've been yearning for since my mother's passing, and I appreciate him for that. We've gotten pretty close in a short amount of time which was a surprise to my dad, but he's just glad I'm making friends.
"Alright, honey I'm about to head out to catch my flight."
"Even with the murders they're still letting people fly out?"
"Out of San Francisco yes now if another one comes up the city might establish a curfew."
"Ok well tell Grandpa and Grandma I said hi."
"Will do sweetie pie and you know the rules."
"No boys in the room when you're not home I know I know."
He gives me a side eye, and I turn back around to my laptop to finish my English assignment so I can submit it. Once he leaves, I shoot Jordan a quick text so I can get his estimated time of arrival. I asked Jordan if he could stay over during the time my dad was going to be gone. It's just that the new house is so spacious and I get scared at night when I'm by myself.
I drag my assignment file into my submission box and close my laptop smiling to myself. It's Friday night meaning that I get the entire weekend free.
As I'm walking down the steps, the doorbell sounds off, and I run down the rest of them making my way to the front door. Opening it, I'm met with Jordan holding his duffle bag and backpack as a big smile covered his face.
"Hi."
"Hi", he breathes out.
I open the door wider so we can step in and lock all the locks since you know we have a crazy killer on the loose. Jordan was very concerned with me being by myself and said, "I rather them get me before they get you."
"Did you eat already?"
"No, I was planning on ordering takeout for us. My dad left enough, and we'll have a good amount left. I don't plan on eating out all the time though I can whip something up."
"Ok well my mom sent me with leftovers from tonight, and I told her that you would want some."
"Thank you", I smile.
"No problem it's still kind of hot so you don't need to warm them up."
Grabbing a plate out of the cabinet, I fill it up with a little bit of everything that Mrs. Poole gave me. I notice that Jordan is standing awkwardly with his duffle bag still in his hand.
"Jordan you have been over here multiple times you know where my room is at."
"My fault I just didn't know if I was sleeping in there, a guest room, or the couch. I know your dad's rule."
"Yeah well he's not here right now and plus I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind you being up there."
I lock our hands together while carefully holding my plate in my other hand, so I don't spill anything. We finally make it to my room, and Jordan places both his duffle bag and backpack near the door. With my one free hand, I help him remove his camo jacket and hang it on the back of my desk chair.
"How come your dad went to Boston again?"
"He just wanted to check up on my grandparents."
"You didn't want to go with him?"
