Monday morning. You decide to walk to school this morning to prepare for the difficult conversation with Steve. Best case scenario, you hoped he had moved onto Nancy, it would be no big deal that you chose Eddie, and that you could carry on being close friends. Worse case scenario... you just don't want to imagine it. Although, you would feel a certain way if he didn't feel slightly crushed at your rejection because of all the time you've spent together but his feelings were more important in that moment.
You had about a mile left and you had already been walking for at least 30 minutes. The cold air was sharp on your bare arms, you didn't think about grabbing a jacket.. too much on your mind and very little sleep. In the distance, you hear music blaring from an oncoming car blazing down the road behind you. Before you know it, a familiar van pulls up abruptly in front of you, stopping you in your tracks. The passenger side door swings open to reveal your knight in shining armor.
"What the hell are you doing?! Get in!" Eddie yells out.
A relieved smile splashes across your face as you climb in. "Thanks but I only had like a mile left."
"You're ridiculous. That's at least 3 miles, babe. You should've just called me and I, obviously, would've given you a ride."
"Eddie.. when was the last time you were on time for first period? And how did you know ..."
"Brenda told me. I came to pick you up. I have a reason to get to school early now," he says as he tucks your hair behind your ear and gently grazes your arm. "Jesus. You're cold as ice. Where's your jacket?"
"I forgot it. I just had a lot on my mind this morning and needed to clear my head."
He begins to take off his jacket and insists you put it on. It was warm and smelled like him, you never wanted to take it off. "Is this about us? About Steve?"
You look at him with worried eyes. "Yeah..I just don't know how he's going to react and he's been such a good friend, I'm afraid he's going to hate me. But he had to have known the two of us didn't make a ton of sense."
"Look... if he doesn't want to be your friend, that's his loss."
"What would you do if I had chosen him over you."
"I don't know but I guess I'd be pretty hurt...although I wasn't seeing other people so I'd have nobody else to replace you with. Actually, I'd probably still try to win you over," he leans in and kisses you neck. "Still cold?"
"A little bit..."
"Come on... I'll warm you up." He pulls you to the back of his van and sits you in his lap. "My jacket looks really good on you. I want to see what you'd look with only my jacket on..."
"Maybe if you're a good boy..."
Now that you have a ride to school, you have time to make out with Eddie and calm your nerves. His cereal flavored lips with a hint of his morning high was warming your lips. The stiffening bulge in his jeans was warming your insides as you rocked your hips.
"Fuck...I can't get enough of you. I want to be inside you again," he breathes out.
Your body tingles and you contemplate how much time you have before school starts. You wanted nothing more than to have a quickie in the back of his van but you didn't want to chance being late.
"Eddie... slow down. We don't have time."
"You're gonna give me blue balls all day, aren't you?" He laughs.
"Not trying to," you attempt to climb off his lap but he holds you in place.
"Not yet. Let's just make out a little longer. I promise I won't make you late."
