Jooyeon securely held Jiseok's hand as they sprinted through the busy streets of Daegu together. Jiseok didn't know what was happening, one second he was saying goodbye to Jooyeon—who was supposed to be on his way back to Busan right now—and the next he was running through Daegu with him.

"Joo..." Jiseok began, his breath uneasy due to the running, "Jooyeon-ah, we can stop now, they aren't following us." He says.

Jooyeon leads them behind a few buildings and leans against one to catch his breath, Jiseok sits on the ground beside him, hugging his knees as he stares up at the sky; the sun was beginning to set, coloring the sky beautifully with hues of orange and yellow.

"It's so pretty." Jiseok says, smiling; he had always wanted to watch the sunset with Jooyeon, though he wishes it was under better circumstances. Jooyeon was sitting beside him now, looking over at him and mirroring his small smile. It looked genuine, but you could still see the faint hint of sadness in it.

Jiseok, in all honesty, was aware that this would have occurred. He was aware of the repercussions of dating someone whose family is quite homophobic. It was only a matter of time until the wall of happiness that he and Jooyeon had worked so hard to establish would crumble for the obvious reason of anti-queerness.

He just simply wished that he had been able to share a few more joyful moments with Jooyeon before everything fell apart.

Jiseok feels Jooyeon rest his head on his shoulder, now watching the sunset with him. He pulls his bottom lip in between his teeth when he remembers how they wound up in this situation, blinking, he feels a warm tear trickle down his cheek.

"Jooyeon..." he says with quivering lips, not turning his head to look at Jooyeon, knowing that once he does his small tears will turn into full-on sobs—and that is something he definitely doesn't need Jooyeon to see. "We..." he sniffled, "We have to head back, they're waiting for you."

"We can't go back, not now." Jooyeon says, now facing him, tears swelling in his own eyes. "I can't... they'll make me leave you..."

Jiseok turns and looks at him, "You can't just—"

Jooyeon takes a hold of his hands, rubbing his thumbs along his knuckles. "Hyung, let's... let's just run away together." Jooyeon tells him, his shaky hands holding Jiseok's as he looks at him with teary eyes. "If they're against us, so be it, we'll leave."
