It was around eight-forty-something when Jooyeon arrived in Daegu. Jooyeon had spent most of the train either wondering if he had made the right decision or trying not to fall asleep (which he failed at, by the way, considering how he had to get woken up by someone when the ride was over so that he wouldn't get left behind).

While leaving the station, Jooyeon decides to text Sunwoo to alert him of his arrival, as well as saying he'll tell him how his audition goes tomorrow.

Shit, he pauses, realization hitting him like a bag of bricks. How the hell was he going to do the audition tomorrow with no guitar? It'll look unprofessional if he asked Gunil to borrow one for the time being, and that's assuming he even had any. Which was very unlikely.

It's fine. It's fine! He'll just buy one tomorrow. Hopefully, he will have enough money left over after he... oh god where is he going to sleep!?

He really should have thought all of this over more, he probably would have if it wasn't just sprung into him so suddenly.

Reaching into his pocket, Jooyeon pulls out the cash from earlier. As he flips through it, he counts and holds onto the hope that his savings were enough to get a new bass, a hotel room for the night, as well as some food to fill his stomach that is currently screaming at him to eat—karma for not eating since yesterday evening he assumes.

Reaching the end, he comes to a total of ₩735,149.25($550)—saved up money over a few months from his job, gigs he's done, as well as other random things)—and supposes that it will be enough to get him by until he gets himself a job (which would hopefully be soon).

He forms a plan in his mind—first, he will find himself a cheap hotel where he could house for the night so he wouldn't have to lug this heavy bag around more than he has to. Second, he will go to a convenience store (whenever he finds one) and buy himself some supper so his stomach will stop being so dramatic and yelling at him. And lastly, he'll save the buying a new bass for tomorrow, given that probably once he finishes doing the other things it will most likely be close to the ten pm curfew for minors.

Shoving the cash back into his pocket, he continues on his way down the sidewalk. The streets were peaceful; quiet and with barely a soul in sight—just the way Jooyeon liked it. Busan could never compare to this, sure it was peaceful at times, especially in the countryside during those times when he would visit his grandparents, but it would also feel suffocating sometimes.

Actually, it was most of the time.

Jooyeon feels his phone buzz in his pocket, assuming it was either Sunwoo texting him back, or at least his mother asking if he was okay, but it was neither—instead, it was a message from Gunil.
