Jooyeon spent the next three days thinking it over.

The first day, he was really considering if staying was even worth it anymore. He already messed up on their first practice, who knows what will happen the next? Or the ones that follow? He can't lie and promise they won't happen, because he can't guarantee the future, no matter how much he wishes he could.

"I think you should continue with it." This is what Sunwoo told him during their video call on the second day. He truly didn't know how to respond to that, only humming before telling the other bye and hanging up.

He spent the rest of that day staring at the ceiling all while Sunwoo's words were running around in his mind. To tell the truth, he wanted to stay, he really did, I mean, he came to Daegu for this reason, to join the band. If he leaves it now, before he's even an official member, wouldn't he have come here for no reason then?

But what if they regret it in the end? What if what happened the other day repeats and they just can't handle someone like him in their band? What if it's much worse? He so badly wanted to be good for them, for the band, but he holds many doubts about that.

The third day is when Gunil text's him, asking if he was still okay followed by the big question: what's your decision?

He stares at his message for at least two hours until he finally sends him a reply: i'll stay.

Gunil texts him back a few minutes later with: 'i'm glad you came around' as well as: 'practice today is @ 2, hope to see you there'.

Jooyeon replies with a simple and quick i'll be there before he can give it any more thought.

Jooyeon attended practice that day, head hung low and his lips forming something between a small smile and a frown. He was fully expecting the room to be filled with awkward tension the moment he walked in, but there was none.

Gunil walked to him with a smile and Jooyeon was expecting a pat on the back but instead was pulled into a hug. He was confused about what to do with his hands; they just swung awkwardly by his sides, but after a few seconds he hugged back.

They practiced at least three times a week, though Jooyeon did it more so when he was back at his apartment, wanting to make sure he had his parts fully memorized so that he wouldn't mess up—which worked out well considering by the fifth session Jooyeon was able to keep his note steady by the end of Dear H. and the others didn't hesitate to congratulate him.
