Delilah finishes her work shift and gets in a taxi to go home. Being a gym trainer was hard work, but the fact on what Swift Austin said threw her off. As she was in the taxi, she checks her phone and listens to some music she had on her playlist.
Delilah looks out the window and thinks about her father. How hard he fought her. Sun was once the chosen one back in his youth to save alola from the darkness. The fact that sun and lillie gave live to her, it kinda changed their point of view on the world. After Delilah was born, sun put aside his training and focused more on his child. The thing is, he got rusty with his training and forgot most things for training. Delilah still thinks about what Swift said to her. He beat her father and now he is in the pokemon hospital. The driver driving Delilah home didn't say anything, but somehow knew she was stressed out about something. Delilah closes her eyes and thinks about her what her father said to her when she was young.
Small flashback.
Sun: that ain't true, Delilah, i would do anything for you.
Young Delilah: i guess there is room for only one hero in this family.
End of flashback and now in Vaniville.
Delilah wakes up when she gets to her stop. The night sky made everything look so clear and clean. She gave the driver a tip and got out of the taxi. Delilah turns off her music and places her eaebuds back into her pocket.
While walking home
Beartic nuzzles up to Delilah. Delilah smiles as she pets the bear on head. Beartic tries to speak to her, but she couldn't understand what he was trying to tell her.
Delilah: oh beartic, im afriad I'm not my father. I think he is the only one that can speak to pokemon.
Beartic does a growl, like he was trying to talk to her. Delilah giggles. To her, it's cute that her beartoc was trying to talk to her, but he managed to growl out her name.
Beartic: De.....Ray.....Ra....
Delilah smiles when beartic kinda said her name.
Delilah: yes, that's right, baby, Delilah. Say it again. De-lie-la.
Beartic: De.....Ri....Ra.
Delilah gives her beartic a hug and kisses the ice bear pokemon. Beartic smiles and places a paw in the back of Delilah. Rubbing his paw up and down the girls back. Delilah felt a real connection to her beartic.
Delilah: do you think we can beat that Swift Austin?
Beartic: *growl*
Delilah: i think so too, buddy. Come on, let's go home. Connor might be worried about us. Beartic offered Delilah a ride, but Delilah didn't want to due to wanting to be strong and independent.
