The next few days were tense for Anna. She tried to avoid Vinno, but she couldn't stop thinking about him.
One weekend, Kendrick and Anna went to visit his family in the city. As they were sitting in the living room, Kendrick's cousin Vinno walked in. Anna felt her heart skip a beat as she realized that this was the first time she would be seeing him since she had confessed her feelings.
"Hey, man," Vinno said, greeting Kendrick with a handshake. "And you must be Anna."
Anna felt her cheeks flush as Vinno's eyes met hers. She could see the surprise and confusion in his expression.
"Nice to meet you," she said softly.
The rest of the weekend was a blur for Anna. She tried to be polite to Vinno, but she knew that her feelings for him were written all over her face. She could tell that he was uncomfortable around her.
