Manhunt, Baby (Dream&Hunters&Tommy)

Request: basically dream is hiding a tiny baby tommy, and he doesnt want anyone to find out about him. but on the other hand, tommy really really wants out during a manhunt.

Requests! I technically still make them, and take them... i know it doesn't look like that (haven't worked on one in like a year... damn), but that's just cuz I'm lazy and a piece of crap, I guess

Things to mention: dying is more of an inconvenience and less of a tragic, absolute end of life thing. Like Minecraft itself. What would've happened to the baby had Dream actually died/been killed? I do not know and you shouldn't be asking me lol. Let's say Dream would've just respawned like nothing happened, pregnant still and the kid would've been perfectly fine. Or make up whatever you think would've happened, idk. Plot convenience (and laziness) for the win I guess

Okay. Maybe. And just maybe, that little voice in his mind that cried, "You are completely and undeniably insane, you reckless idiot" was right. Dream was not going to be the one to admit it, but maybe the one to accept it.

The course of the things in his life had taken a tremendously drastic turn the moment the news of a... situation came to his knowledge. A situation that would involve lots of diapers, tiny clothes and very awkward explanations to his friends.

Dream was concerned. And with reason.

Starting because a few days before his due date, no one but him knew about his pregnancy yet. The absurdity of the situation made him laugh. The baby even had a name already. Little Tommy had already begun to turn his life around from the moment Dream learned of his existence. The boy just hoped that he wouldn't be like this forever.

Sapnap's invitation to do a manhunt almost made him shout in his face, calling him irresponsible for even thinking of doing something like that with someone so heavily pregnant. Until he remembered that, in effect, he was the only one who knew about the pregnancy. His first reaction was to decline it, obviously, despite how much he really missed participating in those races with his friends. And apparently Sapnap saw right through him. Not enough to see the little person he had inside, but enough to see that his denial was hesitant and not very heartfelt.

Without much effort, but a lot of shame and subsequent apologies to Tommy, Dream allowed himself to be convinced to participate in the first manhunt in almost ten months.

Hiding his silhouette was relatively easy, when his wardrobe consisted almost entirely of baggy sweatshirts and his midsection had hardly changed in size in all those months. An improvised binder, also called a shirt that he had taken from George (and therefore it was tight on him) and his outfit for that day was complete. His nerves wouldn't stop telling him that everyone would see him huge and cancel everything after an ear pulling and a well-deserved scolding for just thinking about undergoing such a challenge, when he was almost finding himself with a baby between his legs already.

On the contrary, the only thing that happened was that George broke his compass on the way to the plain where they would start, and Dream took advantage of the moment when the three hunters stopped to check the artifact and make fun of their teammate to start running in the direction of a nearby forest, soon hearing the anxious voices of the three behind him.

Dream had almost forgotten how fun and terribly scary that was. Running between the biomes, jumping over the treetops and launching himself from the mountains was an adrenaline rush that couldn't compare to anything else. Dream almost felt bad for enjoying it so much. Almost.

He couldn't imagine what the little one in his womb would be experiencing. Probably something similar to a very violent and constant earthquake. Laughing at his own ideas felt cruel, but Tommy would be his father's son for a reason. The kid was going to be tough, and Dream knew it. This would be nothing to him.
