"You look like uncle." Zia told the new Na'vi that had come to see her. She still wasn't sure what was going on.
"Lyle right?"
"Do you know?" She asked curiously.
Mansk smiled at the girl. "Yeah, Z-dog as well, I served with your dad and mom too."
"Served?" She repeated, with an unsure tone.
Zia didn't know what it meant, she was mostly fluent in Na'vi. "Yeah, fight beside them." Mansk looked to the girl and just felt bad. "Listen, that other man, don't trust him." He didn't want to go back to the RDA, they found him and he had to act like he was with them to save his own skin. "When your parents come to get you, I'll help you, that other man won't he will trick you."
"You friend, park not?"
"Yeah." Mansk said.
"Okay."
The plan was simple but the real thing wasn't going to be. Bridgehead city had turrets that would shoot anything out of the air, but it did have a weak point. Any of them could be disabled from underneath, so it was a ground assault.
Four groups would be placed on all sides of the city, only one will go into the city. The rest are decoys. To distract forces, which is why Tarya and Miles had to be separated. Tarya would go in, Miles would be in one of the other groups which were going to be classed as 'Phoenix squad'. Jake led another one of the decoy groups, Neytiri led the other. All of The RDA's highest targets spread out so they would spread their forces.
This plan was alway a hypothetical, until it had to be put in place. Their would be so many casualties but everyone was volunteers.
Tarya's team consisted of Lyle, Zdinarsk and others close volunteers, including her brother who still was distant, other avatars too. Spider was with his father, insisting on helping. They were all in this together, and the plan was about to take place.
"Spider is Skxawng." Zia giggled.
Mansk looked to the innocent little girl, laughing on his lap. He hated it all, how she was caught in the middle, it heart him. "Yeah, he is." He said smiling. "This other time-" Mansk was cut of by the sounds of alarms throughout bridgehead base and then the sounds of solider running.
Zia cowered into his chest for safety. Mansk had spent all night trying to comfort her, she had been missing her parents so much that she refused to sleep. Mansk told her stories of her mother and father when he knew them, and her brother. She came around and slept for a bit before waking up with a nightmare.
"Hey, hey it's okay." He says.
Zia covered her ears from the loud screeching noise while Mansk picked her up and headed to the keypad on the door to silence the alarm.
