Changing the format of the story starting from this chapter because I realised it looks different compared to how readers see it (especially for inline commenting). I have also been trying to write more per chapter because I need to get through as much content per chapter as possible (it's twice the word count now) :P

Anyways, enjoy the chapter! (˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

Ruri and (Name) stared out into the distance beyond the village. A small cloud of smoke. As well as the small swarm of villagers crowding around Senku's newest plan. Of course, the girls had been kept in the loop through Kohaku running back and forth between steps of Senku's plan. That's how they know of the food stall that was set up to attract the attention of the villagers to gain their physical labour.

'What a Senku thing to do...' (Name) laughed in her head. Taking a quick look around, she celebrated in her head upon realising Kokuyou wasn't around. It was her chance! "I'll be heading down myself to see what's happening," she announced, in even more of a rush before the chief noticed her escape.

As she landed, the villagers halted their eating to greet the girl. She simply greeted them back and skipped up to Senku, whose eyes never left hers from the moment she entered his sight. A small, mutually pleasant smile graced their face. Wrapping her arms around the boy, she snuggled into his familiar warmth.

Eyes were wide and mouths were hanging as the villagers witnessed the public display of affection from their angel to the outsider. They were not informed that the boy was affiliated with (Name). Seeing the two acting so intimate was so sudden they nearly spat out the food of gods, ramen. Kohaku only nodded her head in satisfaction, seeing her friend being treated with the affection she deserved.

"Never thought I'd see the day you would be the cook." The girl laughed, referring to the days when Senku would hole himself in his room to experiment. "Usually I have to take over Byakuya's cooking role when he's out."

"I'm not too interested in gastronomy so you'll have to spare me from your criticism," he passed her a bowl of ramen. "It's not crazy impressive but it impressed these guys well enough to be the food of gods."

(Name) couldn't help but feel dubious as she assessed the bowl of noodles in her hands. Appearance-wise, it was what it appeared to be, ramen, but she was most concerned about taste. Slowly lifting a single noodle to her mouth, she slurped it in, chewing it thoroughly.

It was in the first bite, she already felt something was off. Then as she tasted the fourth bite, a bitterness coated every corner of her mouth. It would've made her gag if it weren't for all the people watching. Gently, she set the bowl down, turning to Senku with a strained smile.

"It was-" she coughed, "-so great! I would eat the whole thing if I didn't already eat before coming here!"

Senku saw through her ploy immediately. The girl was trying to convince the villagers that the food was good so that they wouldn't start thinking the food was bad. Because of (Name)'s considerable status in the village, it would be beneficial if the dish had her approval. It would also help in Senku's plans. That's why she faked her joy when she was dying on the inside. And Senku was eternally grateful for her doing so.

"This seriously makes me wish I had something to drink - like a cola..."

(Name) snapped out of her facade, drawing her bow and arrow in the direction of the voice. Kohaku and the brothers responded just as quickly when they noticed the angel pulled out her weapon. Taking a moment to actually examine the man's features, she felt she had seen him somewhere before. But she was certain to have never met anyone with cruella-de-vil-like hair. But then again, she didn't have cracks on her back until after she was released from her stone prison.
