Stone Age Angel (Senku X Reader)

Chapter 21

     "Minami, tell me you got that on camera," Kohaku and Gen shuffled over to the reporter who had the camera in hand.

     "Of course! Another day, another photo for the Senku-(Name) photo album!" Minami gleefully showed off her impressively thick collection of photos from just the past few days. "This is album number six!"

     "You've got that many already?!"

     "And there's more to come! What with the upcoming winter... there's better time for photos than the festive duration spanning from the end of the year to the start of the next!"

     "How is she so good at this?!" Chrome was awed as (Name) easily skidded across the slope of snow, pulling off trick after trick with no effort. He let out a yelp as a wave of snow washed over him. "Ryuusui, you...! Get back here!"

     "Haha! I own these hills, whatever I say or do goes!" He pulled beside the angel. "(Name), would you like to join me as we watch the..."

     "Not interested," the girl quickly said, not even letting him finish. "Maybe some other time! And watch out for that tree!"

     "Tree?" He turned to face the front, instantly coming face to face with an encroaching pine tree. "...Ow..."

     Meanwhile, (Name) had skidded to a halt at the entrance to the nearby forest. She thought she saw Senku come through with her supervision. Where did he go? Taking a foot forward, her entire body buckled as the ground crumbled beneath her, sending her crashing into a pitfall, getting half her body buried underground.

     "Isn't this some deja vu..." Senku laughed as he appeared from behind some trees. "To think you would fall into one of my traps again, (Name). And I was genuinely hoping to catch some deer this time, too..."

     "Yeah, yeah, just get me out of here. Surely you won't need to call for help like when we were younger?" She goaded the man.

     "I'm not a kid anymore..." Senku grumbled as he took hold of her arms, hoisting her out with as much power as he could muster.

     (Name) let out a squeak as Senku actually managed to pull her out. But he wasn't strong enough to do it completely as he fell backwards, heaving for air.

     "Someday, we should work on your physical strength," (Name) told him.

     "Tomorrow is Valentine's Day!" Yuzuriha grabbed hold of her angel friend, glaring her down. "Because you and Senku were busy and didn't end up celebrating your birthdays, at least celebrate Valentine's!"

     "But I was teaching classes! It was for the better of..." Just one glance of Yuzuriha's stern face shut her up. "Yes, ma'am."

     "Yuzuriha, we brought the recipe from Senku!" Mirai and Suika cheered as they returned. "But it calls for some stuff we don't recognise..."

     "Don't worry, Big Sis (Name) here will definitely be able to make it! And she will make it...!" The designer's eyes burned with the flames of hell itself.

     Sensing she had no other choice, the angel got to work making the chocolate from Senku's recipe.

     The next day, Yuzuriha had personally made it her mission to see to it that (Name) would hand over the chocolates to Senku with her own eyes. Both hadn't seen each other for several days leading up to today so she was going to take advantage of that and give Senku the biggest surprise. Today for sure... her ship will sail!
