Up at 04:30 to go to the farmers market in Pretoria with James. Luckily December means Summertime in South Africa, so the sun rises early. We bought many things, such as food; and we spent what feels like too much on things we might not need. I bought a small hunting knife which didn't cost much, but it felt like it was unnecessary.
We went to FarmCity afterwards and spotted the exact same shirts we bought yesterday at the army shop for R80.00 less. What? We went to Mr. Price Sport where I bought two pairs of trousers. I haven't mentioned before that we are going to be in the bushveld.
The coming weeks are scary and frightening. I can't imagine what my parents feel like during the process of them moving. To give context, my dad retired and sold the house in Pretoria. They bought land just outside Potchefstroom on a wildlife estate and built a house. They will be staying in a rented house for about six months until their house is ready for them to move in.
It's hot today. Sweat is pouring out of me like a fountain.
