Shinji walked along the sandy beach, feeling the cool water lapping at his feet. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the water, and Shinji couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over him. He had been feeling so lost and uncertain lately, but being here, by the water, made him feel a little more grounded.

As he walked, he noticed someone approaching him from the distance. It was a boy, around his age, with silver hair and piercing red eyes. Shinji felt a jolt of surprise as the boy approached him, as he had never seen him before.

"Hello," the boy said, his voice soft and gentle. "My name is Kaworu Nagisa. It's nice to meet you."

Shinji hesitated for a moment before replying, "I'm Shinji Ikari. Nice to meet you too."

The two stood there for a moment, looking out at the ocean. Shinji didn't know why, but being around Kaworu made him feel strangely at ease. He had never felt this comfortable around anyone before, not even his fellow pilots.

"Would you like to take a walk with me?" Kaworu asked.

Shinji nodded, and the two began to walk along the beach together. They didn't talk much, but the silence between them was comfortable.

As they walked, the sun began to set behind them, casting long shadows across the sand. Shinji couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and contentment that he hadn't felt in a long time.

Finally, as the last of the sun's rays disappeared over the horizon, Kaworu turned to Shinji and said, "I think it's time for us to go now."

Shinji nodded, feeling a little sad that their time together was over so soon. But as he walked away from the beach with Kaworu, he couldn't help but feel a sense of hopefulness that he hadn't felt in a long time. Maybe, just maybe, things were going to be okay.
