Chapter 3

Kaidens POV

Today is Cat and I's second date. I've planned it this time and I've decided to take her to my place to have a movie night.

I know she isn't used to this and shes used to fancy dates and expensive restaurants but I hope she'll enjoy it.

I told Cat to wear comfortable and lazy clothes, I can't wait to see what she wears.

Cats POV

Kaiden told me to wear something comfortable but I don't know what to wear. Everyone's used to seeing me in expensive clothes, the only person who has seen me in comfortable clothes is Carter.

I know she won't judge me so I throw on black Nike sweatpants and a matching t-shirt.

I dont put on a hoodie because I hope to steal one of hers. I've been crushing on her for years and for years, I've watched her stare at me when she thinks I'm not looking.

I walk downstairs and put on some sneakers before I walk to the living room to see Carter watching TV.

"Wow Mom, you trust her already?" Carter asks, seeing my outfit, knowing I'm not comfortable showing this side of me.

"I do." I smile at him and he nods.

I just grab my phone and put it in my pocket. Kaiden told me I wouldn't need anything.

There's a knock at the door and I walk over to it and open it, its Kaiden.

I smile at her before turning and saying bye to Carter.

"Bye Mom!"

"Bye sweetie." I smile before closing the door.

I notice Kaidens in her usual button up and dress pants. I frown and she must've noticed because she explains, "I just came from Catco." She tells me and I nod.

She opens her truck door for me and helps me up before closing the door and going to the drivers side, hopping in.

"You look amazing." Kaiden says, taking her eyes off the road to look at me for a second

"Thank you." I blush slightly. "So, what are we doing?" I ask her.

"I was hoping we could go back to my place and have a movie night." Kaiden tells me with a shy smile, I stay quiet, thinking about the idea. "Unless you completely hate that idea! I know you're used to fancy dates and expensive restaurants!" She rushes out.

I grab her hand and gently rub my thumb on the back of it.

"I love that." I tell her, I watch as she relaxes.

Soon enough we pull up to an apartment building, which I assume she lives in.

Kaiden gets out and opens my door for me, I smile and accept her hand to help me down.

"Thank you." I gently kiss her cheek and watch as she gets flustered.

"Yeah, yeah, no problem." She mumbles before leading me into the building, I notice she doesn't let go of my hand and I smile.

We walked to the elevator and she pressed the 7th floor out of the 10 the building has.

When the doors open she leads me to her apartment and opens the door, allowing me to walk in first.

I look around and notice everything reminds me of Kaiden, from the old band posters to the family photos she has around.

Kaiden lets go of my hand and puts down her bag that I didn't even notice she had.

"You can sit on the couch and turn on the TV to pick a movie, Im going to go change." She tells me and I nod.

She walks into the bedroom as I sit down on the couch and turn on her TV. I go to Netflix and click on her account, noticing she has other accounts, Eliza, Alex, and Kara before hers. She must share it with her family.
