Rukmini gently ran Her hands through Her curly hair, removing the minor tangles caused by Her long day of work, Her hair having been plaited tightly, as She worked on making Her Kingdom the way She wanted it to welcome the two Princesses She had sent an invite to, both having accepted.
Karenumati, Rukmini mused, as She started tying Her hair into a loose plait, sounded very gentle and sweet, the opposite of her uncle Sishupala, who was a sleazeball of a man, always leering at women. She, on the other hand, inspired a profound depth with her elegant words despite her young age, which had made Rukmini smile, as She lay Her eyes on the letter She had gotten in response to Her own.
Mitravinda, however, was a mystery to even Rukmini Herself, which was a very rare situation for Her. She never thought She would find someone who would be so much like Her. In the words of Mitravinda, Rukmini felt Her own Soul shine, as if They were one rather than two. Something told Rukmini that She and Mitravinda had a future that was intertwined, and that They would be one as time passed by.
Maybe They were always one, now as two.
There was just something about... Rukmini closed Her eyes, allowing Her inner self to flood Her human senses, becoming One with the power of the Soul.
The closed pink Lotus seemed ethereal against the natural mountainous terrain, glowing with golden sparks that danced around the flower, a symbol of purity. The entirety of Nature seemed to be present, as if even Nature could not resist being present there, all focusing on the closed pink bud, which stood straight despite the gentle breeze that blew against it. Elephants took thunderous steps towards the lake from which the stalk of the Lotus arose, trumpeting in what echoed as joy. Owls circled above, wide awake in the day, hooting a welcome note. Rabbits and deer ran hither and thither, their happiness seeming to know no bounds. Snakes and eagles seemed to converse, periodically staring at the pink Lotus bud with hope.
Rukmini felt that She was connected to the pink bud in some way that She had not yet Divined. She felt an urge to touch the Lotus bud, something telling Her that She would be able to open it with a gentle touch.
"The Lotus calls to me as well," a voice that chimed in melodies of the Veena Rukmini knew, sounding as if Her own nature echoed in Her ears, the immediate thought that the voice reflected Her own striking Her.
Rukmini was brought out of Her Dhyana before She could see the face of the voice that matched Hers, and She blinked at Her surroundings, surprised. It had been a very long time since She had been brought out of such a deep meditation involuntarily, though She had a feeling that Her Ishta, Bhagavan Narayana, had a hand in this.
For some reason, He felt that the time for Her to know everything had not come yet, though He seemed to have left clues in Her temporary Dhyana for Her, clues She had to dig deep and find, a game They seemed to play more often than She understood.
