NATSU
"Hey Luce," I said inquisitively, sitting down on the stool next to hers at the bar. The usual festivities of the guild almost drowned out my attempt at conversation, but the celestial mage simply sat up from her slumping on the counter and stretched her arms in the air, a little smile dotting under her button nose. "why'd you get your guild mark on your hand?" I asked curiously.
"Hm?" She hummed sweetly, yet she gazed down at her dainty hand puzzled. "Oh, I just wanted to remind myself everyday what a wonderful guild I'm in." She chirped, glancing up at me contentedly. I took this all in and sniffed the air, almost out of habit, before my next query.
"Why pink then? Your favourite colour is blue."
She grinned sheepishly at me. "Don't ask me," she laughed. "I had a lot of thoughts on my mind that day. It could've been a number of things." She went to stand up but I caught her by the elbow, determined to find out. "N-Natsu?" She squeaked as I pulled her back down into her seat.
"Tell me one of the things."
"What?" She pieced it together. "Oh." Her hair fell like a curtain, casting a shadow over her eyes. "Well, a certain... guy-"
"Who is it?! Gray, Loke, Makarov, Elfman? Is it Gajeel? That metalhead punk! I always knew it was him!" I clenched my fists tightly as Lucy buried her face in her hands. I went into a fighting stance and went to go beat up that bastard when she put out an arm to stop me.
"Natsu, stop." She calmed me down instantly. "No, it's somebody else. Someone... you haven't mentioned." She said in her cryptic manner. She just kept on confusing me.
"Jet? Droy? Laxus? Freed? Is it those Sabertooth punks, Sting and Rogue? Oh I'm gonna get them-"
"Natsu, shut up!" She squealed, cringing away. "No, no. It's not like that at all!" She waved her arms around frantically. "It's... can we just drop this?" She whimpered, looking away. I nodded slowly, hopelessly confused.
"Alright." I said, shrugging. She held her hand up and stared at her guild mark. "Whoever it was better be making you happy though." I shoved my hands in my pockets. She giggled, and spun back around to face me, a dreamy look in her eye.
"He sure is."
