LUCY
"Natsu..." I murmured incoherently, my wide-eyes fluttering as my pupils dilated. I blinked a couple of times, and glanced fleetingly to the side. His hand has still there, against the wall. His other was still on the other side, a bit higher, by my head. It seemed like this was happening a lot lately. He was trying to get my attention, and I wasn't concentrating, and I ended up backed against a wall or falling on top of him or something to that extent.
"Mavis, Luce. I've been trying to talk to you all week, but you won't listen." He said, stepping back slowly, his hands running through his hair like he had a headache. "What's wrong?" His fists clenched tighter now and suddenly I noticed how exhausted he looked. He sweeped his tongue over his fangs out of habit and our gazes locked again, almost sparring with each other.
"Nothing?" I asked curiously. "Natsu, nothing's different..." I shook my head and he took my hand, dragging me outside. Past the double doors, around the side of the building, I was just staring at our interlocked fingers. His calloused hand grasped onto mine determinedly. "Natsu?" I queried again inquisitively.
"People aren't here now. You can tell me." He said, almost desperately. I was hopelessly puzzled, my mind whirling with what could be going on in that big head of his. "Tell me, Luce. You're being weird." I puffed out my cheeks at that - I was not being weird!
"Natsu, nothing's wrong. I keep telling you. And I am not being weird!" I retorted, sighing heavily. He kept at it, and I just moaned and shoved him lightly. "Natsu, I'm going." I said, storming off.
"Lucy, come back!" He called, and I heard his footsteps approach swiftly. "I just... I just..." I was about to slap him, seriously. "I just want you to be happy."
Silence.
"I guess I'm overreacting a little," I sighed, facing him. "sorry Natsu." I smiled at him. "I'm happy now, thanks." He smiled back and walked back into the guild. I kept staring where he was, and stayed like that for a while.
"The reason I'm ignoring you is so that you can realise you love me, dumb ass." I muttered, running off.
