Y/N POV

It was the next day since our run crew went into the city. I've been worried since they left but now I'm really starting to freak the fuck out. But I'm able to hide it...more than Amy. She's worried for her sister. I'm worried about everybody but it's mostly Glenn.

I'm sitting by the RV when our C.B. radio starts crackling and then a voice comes through. It doesn't sound any voice we know.

"Hello. Hello. Can anybody hear my voice?"

Amy who's nearby, drops the wood she was carrying and runs to the C.B.

"Hey. Hello?" She answers.

"Can your hear my voice?" He asks again, still not coming through completely.

"Yes, I can hear you. You're coming through. Over." She answers again as me and Dale walk over to her.

"If anybody reads, please respond." The voice says again, not hearing her. "Broadcasting on emergency channel. Will be approaching Atlanta on highway 85. If anybody reads, please respond."

"We're just outside the city." She tries again.

Nothing.

"Damn it. Hello? Hello?" She looks to me. "He couldn't hear me, I couldn't warn him."

I give her a reassuring nod.

"Try to raise him again." Dale tells her, then calls Shane over. "Come on, son, you know best how to work this thing."

Shane comes over putting his axe on the log before taking the mic from Amy.

"Hello, hello. Is the person who called still on the air?"

Nothing.

"This is Officer Shane Walsh broadcasting to person unknown. Please respond."

Nothing again.

"He's gone." Shane says, looking down.

I sigh, looking down at him with frown.

"There are others. It's not just us." Lori says with hope to Shane.

"We knew there would be, right? That's why we left the C.B. on." He says to her.

"A lot of good it's been doing. And I've been saying for a week we ought to put signs up on 85 to warn people away from the city." Lori says and I nod my head in agreement.

"Folks got no idea what they're getting into." Amy says still knelt in front of the radio.

"Well, we haven't had time." Shane claims.

"I think we need to make time." Lori says to Shane.

"Yeah, that-that's a luxury we can't afford." Shane says as he rubs his chin. "We are surviving here. We are day to day."

"And who the hell would you propose we send?" Dale asks Lori.

"I'll go. Give me a vehicle." She snaps back but he seems directed towards Shane.
