Everyone rushed to the entrance hearing the sound of Arjun's horse
"What happened to her?" Devika asked with a worried expression Caressing Subhadra's Hair..
"Dhuryodhan lied bhabhi...Her mother was dead from 45 days... It was a lot for her..." Arjun said.. A tear was hiding in the corner of his eyes
"Take her inside.. Let her rest.." Kunti said and arjun took her to her chamber and lied her gently on the bed..
He covered her with a blanket and sat near her bed caressing her hair
Her eyes flickered in sleep.. Arjun understood she was having a bad dream.. He grabbed her hands and kissed it
"I'm here bhadree..." He said... She released a deep breath
6 hours later
"Arjun, eat something... I'll take it here if you want.." Devika said to arjun who was still sitting near subhadra
"I don't want anything bhabhi.." He said making devika sigh
"I'll sit here with her till you come." She put forward a proposal
"I'm not hungry bhabhi.." He said
She sat beside him watching subhadra sleep
"Poor child... What has she done to suffer this much in a young age.." Devika sighed deeply caressing Subhadra's Hands
She held Arjun's shoulder with her other hand with a smile making him rest his head on her shoulder
"Does she know you love her this much?" Devika asked softly
"I don't know.. Maybe.." He said with a smile
"I'm ready to wait for decades for her to love me back.." He said.. Devika carressed his hair Affectionately
"She'll love you back arjun.. You deserve her love.. When she does, you two are going to be the best couple.. And You are going to be a Lovesick boy.." Devika said With a mischievous chuckle making arjun smile With a blush
Devika left the chamber to check on prativindhya
The sky was getting dark... There were clouds in the sky which indicated the arrival of rain..
Subhadra slowly opened her eyes.. She understood she was in Indraprastha
She looked around and saw arjun watching the sky..
She Got down from the bed.. Arjun turned back towards her hearing the sounds of her anklet..
"Did you sleep well?" He asked to which she nodded in a yes
There was a tension in the air.. She was not comfortable to face him after that moment..
"I should take a bath.." She said
He nodded and left the chamber
She sighed and went to take a warm bath..
She cleared her mind.. She let out all her feelings.. She cried it all out
She got out from the bath and saw devika sitting on her bed waiting for her
She hugged subhadra and Subhadra hugged her back.
"I'm soo sorry about your mother bhadre... I promise we won't let you feel the loss of a mother... " saying this she kissed subhadra on forehead
Subhadra hugged her tightly for being there for her
Devika wiped both of their tears
"Come.. Eat something.. Arjun haven't eat anything too... Come, I'll feed you two.." Devika said
Subhadra wondered why he hasn't ate.. She went with devika
Arjun smiled seeing her.. She sat on the chair next to him..
"You okay?" He asked
"I'm feeling better.." She replied with a smile
They had dinner.. Arjun slept on the couch in Subhadra's Chamber to make sure she's fine
Everyone was there for her.. They didn't let the loss of her mother to make her feel like she was alone.
1 week later
Arjun was spending most of his time for subhadra.. He never let her stay alone.. When he had to do his duties he made sure either kunti or devika stays with her..
Subhadra was standing on the balcony at night.. Arjun entered in the chamber.. She sensed his presence and smiled at the moon..
He Stood beside her
She looked at him.
She wondered how he cares about her and loves her without expecting anything in return.. His love was selfless.Even though she kissed him that day.He never tried to talk about that.
"You are staring.." He said with his eyes on the starry sky... The cold wind was making their hairs messy
"Can't i stare at my husband.." Her words got him goosebumps
"Of course you can My goddess.. But it's late night... You should get some sleep.." He said Pulling her nose.
"And if i refuse?" She asked playfully
He smiled and picked her in his arms.
He placed her on the bed... He covered her with the blanket.. At some point, there eyes met... She was looking at him in way she never looked at him before
He Kissed her Forehead
"You are okay now.. I'll be in the next room.." He said in a low voice
She nodded not taking her eyes from his
He left the room.. Before closing The door he looked back at her... She was still looking at him... In the same way..
