Chapter 3

3rd Person P.O.V

Soon after JJ and Emily were done talking with Grace and Rossi and Derek finished at the crime scene they all headed to the station to meet up with Aaron and Spencer to find out what they found "It seems Daniel got lucky, with how much blood was at the scene a few more moment and I don't think he would have made it" Derek said walking in the room 

"That bad?" Spencer asked 

"Pretty boy, blood covered almost the whole floor I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did"

Aaron turned to the girls "Did you guys find anything?" 

"Apparently Ethan heard something outside around 5 in the morning and went to Grace, she blames herself for Daniel getting shot because it was the 5 time Ethan said he heard something this week but whenever she looked there was nothing there" JJ tells them "Grace also told us Daniel should wake up tomorrow" 

"Did you guys find out the connection to Gracelynn and Daniel?" Rossi asked. Emily and JJ shared a look "Daniel found her after she was raped saved her life by getting her to the hospital when he did. It was just them until Ethan was born and people started sending death threats that they upped security" The guys all shook their heads in disgust that people would send death threats to a baby 

"How about her soulmate? Do they have anything to do with this?" When Rossi asked this, Derek, Spencer and Aaron had to bite their tong to not say anything, for some reason they hate to think Gracelynn belongs to someone else 

"Uhh...No. No her soulmate isn't involved she hasn't met them..." Emily trails off as her and JJ look anywhere but the guys they know Grace belongs too. Aaron eyes them confused by their behavior but doesn't comment on it 

"Well, it seems Gracelynn had a twin sister" Spencer said bringing the attention to him 

"What?"

"Yes, Rose. They where fraternal twins, according to Detective Murph they used to be close until Rose started hitting, pulling and almost pushed Gracelynn down the stairs. Rose and Mike their father died in a car crash when they where heading to the doctors to find what was happening to Rose" Aaron explained to them      

"Why wasn't that in her file?" Derek asked looking to his mates "Gracelynn never wanted anyone to know, Murph told us if he hadn't known Gracelynn since birth he wouldn't have even known she had a sister. According to him Rose death hadn't bothered her as she lost her sister a long time before the crash"

The team shared a look, something was wrong with Rose death, they don't know what it is but it doesn't feel right. Something is missing

Grace pulls up to her sons school ready to pick him up. Standing in front of her car she looks through her emails when a teenager around her age and a little girl walk over to her "Hi, excuse me" the teenager called out making Grace look up 

The teenager was around 5'6 just a inch or two shorter than her, she has brown curly hair, tan skin with glasses, she was wearing black jeans with a white sweater and black boots. The little girl who was around 2 by the looks of it was wearing a pink dress, her dark brown hair pulled into a pony tail 

"Hi, can I help you two?" Grace asked putting her phone in her back pocket "Yeah, sorry but I saw you standing over here and I was wondering if we can get a picture. I've been listening to your music since you started and I love it" the teenager said holding her phone up hopefully 

"Of course, anything for a fan" The teenager and the little girl both smiled, picking up the two year old, Grace took the phone and took a picture of the three of them "Here you go" Grace hands back her phone "Thank you...Oh, I'm River and this is Crystal my daughter" River introduced themselves 

"Well it's nice to meet you River and Crystal. Does Crystal go to school here?" Grace asked knowing that the classes start at Pre-K until 3rd grade "Oh no, she will start in a year or two. Her older sister Ocean goes here. First grade" River told her "Oh my son is in first grade too. He skipped two grades, how old is your oldest?"

"6, you?"

"4" 

"Wow he must be really smart to skip right to first grade" 

Grace nods with a proud smile, she loves that Ethan skipped two grade, he is just like her. After the death of her dad and sister she skipped right to high school and finished when she was 9 than went to college and finished when she was 12 a year before she had Ethan. She loves to know Ethan got more of her than of his father 

"River" A male voice calls out snapping Grace out of her thoughts. A teenager who looks around 17 maybe 18 walks over to them. Dark blond hair, with brown eyes his eyes trained on River "Ben" River smiles as Ben wraps his arms around her waist 

"Gracelynn this is my soulmate, Ben. Ben this is Gracelynn Swan the singer" Ben holds out his hand "Nice to meet you" Grace shakes his hand "You too" before anything else could be said kids start running out of the school. Ethan comes running up to Grace with a girl with dirty blond hair brown eyes wearing a green dress "Mom! Mom, this is Ocean Blackburn the girl I was telling you about this morning. My mate!" Ethan told his mother proudly 

Grace, River, Ben and Crystal stare at the two kids in shock. Ocean turns to see her parents "Oh, hi mom and dad. This is Ethan Swan my mate" both kids show their marks that was once a light grey has now turned a dark black "This is Ocean" Grace said looking at River and Ben "Yes and this is Ethan" Ben said back 

The parents look at each other than the kids seeing Ocean introducing Ethan to Crystal "Why don't we exchange phone numbers that way the kids could have play dates together and we can get to know you more?" Ben suggested. The girls nodded and exchanged number, while he was watching the kids. Sure he doesn't like that his little girl found her mate this young but looking at Grace than Ethan he can tell this will be good for all of them.

Of course he knows the story of how Grace got Ethan and it broke his heart knowing Grace was raped and wasn't able to give her virginly to her mates but as he sees the way Grace smiles at Ethan with love he understands she doesn't care how she got him. All she cares about is now protecting him 

"Bye Ocean see you tomorrow" Ethan said goodbye as his mom helps him in the car "Bye River, bye Ben" Grace waves goodbye before getting in the car and driving away "So, tell me how you guys met" Grace smiled at her son through the window as she drove them to the hospital both wanting to spend the night at Daniel hospital room
